Lifetime went behind the Bell on Monday and unveiled what (allegedly) happened behind the cameras of our favorite childhood sitcom. But instead of Zack Morris running the show, this time it was all about Screech — and the story from outcast Dustin Diamond's perspective.
The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story, based on Diamond's tell-all memoir, began with the gang -- Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Sam Kindseth as Diamond, Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkley, Julian Works as Mario Lopez, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, and Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhies — pulling up to their first mall tour unaware their lives were about to change.

Here it is, a new clip from my favorite movie I've never seen, Lifetime's "The Unauthorized 'Saved By the Bell' Story." Based on Dustin Diamond's scintillating, actually boring memoir, the movie will chronicle the backstory of our beloved Bayside. Lark Voorhies is all set to be the greatest film heroine of our time, inevitably. In this new clip, watch as Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Dylan Everett) and Dustin Diamond (Sam Kindseth) arrive on set for the first filming. The absurdity of this movie is so great, it is actually wonderful. I just shouted, "Good morning, Miss Bliss!" at the sky. The sun, which has always looked like Hayley Mills to me, winks back. The movie premieres Labor Day on Lifetime.

Put on your baggiest Hypercolor® tee, your finest high-tops and your stoniest stone-washed jeans -- it's time to return to "Saved By the Bell." Lifetime knows how much you want to watch the cable network's highly-anticipated "The Unauthorized Story Of Saved By The Bell," so they've released the first five minutes of the movie online. The clip begins at a 1990 public appearance in Cincinnati where thousands of fans clamor to catch a glimpse of the teen tube stars in a very "Hard Day's Night"-kind of way. It then transforms into what can only be described as "Screech's Goodfellas," with Sam Kindseth playing scrawny star Dustin Diamond. It flashes back to Diamond's 1988 audition and includes lots of narration, a rousing pop soundtrack (The Go-Gos, Bell Biv Devoe), restless camerawork, and Screech breaking the fourth wall in order to address the audience. Watch it here: (function(d, s, id) { var js,...

It looks like Lifetime has decided to start school a little early this year.
Before its premiere on Sept. 1, the network has released the first five minutes of the highly anticipated and already much-talked about The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story. After barely giving us a real trailer, releasing the opening sequence on Facebook is an interesting way to capture viewers’ attention. Before the full title credits roll, we meet Zach, Screech, and the whole gang in a limo en route to what appears to be their first big public appearance after the premiere of Saved by the Bell.

Hold on to your hats! It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for! Lifetime has posted its first trailer for “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,” and it promises all of the ego, attitude and adolescent drama you’d want in a behind the scenes look at the making of the splashy '90s Saturday morning sitcom. Inspired by but not based on the 2009 book “Behind The Bell,” which was written by actor Dustin (Screech) Diamond, it’s unclear how far this will delve into scandal, but the memoir was apparently filled with sex and drugs, inciting the ire of some of his costars. Diamond serves as a co-producer on the film, which will star Sam Kindseth in the Diamond role, along with Dylan Everett (Mark-Paul Gosselaar / Zack), Alyssa Lynch (Tiffani Thiessen / Kelly), Julian Works (Mario Lopez / Slater), Tiera Skovbye (Elizabeth Berkley / Jessie) and Taylor Russell McKenzie...

Lifetime has released the first trailer for The Unauthorized Saved By The Bell Story, which gives us a look at the behind-the-scenes drama and madness that went on while the popular 1990s series was in production.
The movie was reportedly inspired by Dustin Diamond’s 2009 book Behind the Bell, which is a tell-all that claimed that when the cast wasn't shooting the show, they were getting crazy with drugs, sex, and wild parties.
It stars Dylan Everett (Mark-Paul Gosselaar / Zack Morris), Alyssa Lynch (Tiffani Thiessen / Kelly Kapowski), Julian Works (Mario Lopez / A.C. Slater), Tiera Skovbye (Elizabeth Berkley / Jessie Spano), Sam Kindseth (Dustin Diamond / Screech Powers), and Taylor Russell McKenzie (Lark Voorhies / Lisa Turtle).
The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story will air on Lifetime September 1st. This has definitely sparked my curiosity, so of course I have to watch it. This may very well be the first thing that I ever watch on Lifetime.

When you get a bunch of hormone-charged teenagers together for one of the most popular syndicated series ever, things are about to get crazy, as witnessed in a new trailer for "The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story."

Gosselaar rides a motorcycle and gets threatened with grounding; Diamond punches a guy out for calling him Screech on the street.

In the sneak peek, Thiessen (Alyssa Lynch) and Voorhies (Tiera Skovbye) both seem to have a pretty big crush on Gosselaar (Dylan Everett) ... and Lopez (Julian Works) and Dustin (Sam Kindseth) look like they did not get along off-screen. Lifetime has released the first clip from their TV movie The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story. The movie gives a behind-the-scenes look at the all the drama in the series that we never saw on screen. On camera you would think that Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Lark Voorhies, and Elizabeth Berkley were all best buds. Apparently that wasn't the case, and off camera their relationships may have been hostile, as suggested in this first clip. I actually thought it was pretty amusing.

That was quick. Not long after it was announced, Lifetime has just released the first trailer for its "unauthorised" telemovie about the catty behind-the-scenes shenanigans on the 1990s TV series "Saved by the Bell".
"The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story," based on Dustin Diamond's "Behind the Bell" book, shows the tensions between the six unknown young actors placed under intense scrutiny as they try to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen.
The cast includes Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Alyssa Lynch as Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Tiera Skovbye as Elizabeth Berkley, Julian Works as Mario Lopez, Taylor Russell McKenzie as Lark Voorhies, and Sam Kindseth as Dustin Diamond. The telemovie itself premieres on September 1st.

The Unauthorized Saved By the Bell Story focuses on the on-set life of the hit series Saved by the Bell, which ran from 1989-1993. And in a first clip from the Lifetime movie, viewers get a taste of the role that teenage hormones played in something as simple as a photo shoot.
The movie stars Dylan Everett as Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Julian Works as a very active Mario Lopez, and Sam Kindseth as a very vocal Dustin Diamond. Alyssa Lynch plays Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, while Tiera Skovbye plays Elizabeth Berkley and Taylor Russell McKenzie brings some attitude (and jealousy) as Lark Voorhies.

If you were born in the late '70s, any time in the '80s and probably up to late-'90s you're aware of the television show "Saved by the Bell". I remember seeing it when it first aired and I think I was still watching it in my dorm room in college, probably on TBS with back-to-back episodes, you know, in-between all that studying I was doing. Fans of the show remember Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and his giant cell phone, Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski and who would ever forget the episode where Elizabeth Berkeley as Jessie Spano took drugs so she could study all night long. Then you have Mario Lopez who went on to a career in entertainment reporting, Dustin Diamond whom I believe was doing porn or something last I checked and Lark Voorhies who may be the one to have pretty much completely dropped...

Inspired by the salacious stories revealed by series star Dustin Diamond, Lifetime is making a movie about the behind the scenes action on "Saved by the Bell." Depending on your penchant for '90s nostalgia and cheesy teen TV programming, you're either going to be -- like Jessie Spano -- so excited, or so scared. (Or maybe a little of both.)
"The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story" will be in the same vein as Diamond's 2009 memoir, "Behind the Bell," which recounted that cast members were sleeping with each other -- even having threesomes -- and doing drugs throughout the series' run. All except Diamond, of course, who really personified his nerd alter ego, Screech, in those days. (Cue sad violin music for Diamond.)
While "Unauthorized," like its title suggests, won't be a direct adaptation of that book, it will contain similar scenarios, collected through numerous new interviews conducted to write the screenplay.
