Title: Cracks Directed By: Jordan Scott Starring: Eva Green, Juno Temple, Maria Valverde, Imogen Poots, Ellie Nunn, Adele McCann, Zoe Carroll, Clemmie Dugdale Filmmaking is certainly a collaborative effort and while that may be an asset in many ways, in some cases, it can also sink even the most beautiful and promising ship. Director Jordan Scott deservedly follows in the footsteps of her father, Ridley, while Juno Temple and Eva Green deliver unforgettably striking performances. If only it weren’t for that damn script. At an all-girls British boarding school, Di (Temple) and the other members of Miss G’s (Green) diving team sit at the top of the social ladder. The girls follow their beloved [...]...

Starring Eva Green, Juno Temple, Imogen Poots and María Valverde and based on a Sheila Kohler novel, “Cracks” has made a slow journey to U.S. distribution. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jordan Scott (daughter of Ridley, niece of Tony), who also co-adapted the screenplay from the Kohler novel. A 1930s-set drama about misdirected youth at an all-girls boarding school in England, “Cracks” may have a unique premise, but without compelling characters or immersive drama, it ultimately leaves audiences out in the cold.
The story revolves around the school’s diving team headed by Di (Juno Temple) and the charismatic coach Miss G (Eva Green) — a confident, liberated female who the girls idolize. When a Spanish girl named Fiamma (María Valverde) joins the team,...

Three brand new clips have hit our desk for former Bond girl, Eva Green’s latest film – Cracks, also starring María Valverde, Imogen Poots, Ellie Nunn, Adele McCann, Zoe Carroll and Clemmie Dugdale. The film is produced by Ridley Scott and Tony Scott and is directed by Ridley’s own daughter, Jordan Scott.
As a side note, I’m going to give this film the thumbs up on the simple fact that they manage to fit the phrase “sack of spuds” into the film without it sounding unduly hilarious – reps! Check out the clips below:
In an austere and remote all girls boarding school, the most elite clique of girls are the illustrious members of the schools’ diving team. Di, Lily, Poppy, Laurel, Rosie and Fuzzy are the envy of their fellow pupils who watch on as the girls compete for the attention of their glamorpous teacher Miss G (Eva Green...
