Happy birthday, Blaine!
Darren Criss won our hearts pretty much the day we first met him at Dalton Academy belting out pop songs in his crisp navy blue and red blazer. In honor of the Glee star's 28th birthday, we're celebrating his 8 best Glee performances. This was somewhat hard to do because pretty much Every Darren Criss performance is amazing.
But we persevered and here is the ranking of our favorites:
News: We Never Stopped Believing — How 'Glee' Finally Got Its Groove Back!
8. Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
Yeah. Darren Criss + Queen should pretty much be illegal.
7. All of Me - John Legend
Real talk: Klaine Forever.
6. It's Time - Imagine Dragons
This moving performance from Blaine to Kurt is what taught us that if you love something you have to let it go.
5. I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You - Black Kids
We can't Even handle how much...

Dustin Diamond is claiming he stabbed a man at a Wisconsin bar on Christmas Eve in self-defense, and is “confident” his side of the story will be enough to persuade a judge to dismiss three charges against him stemming from the incident.
“Dustin has absolute faith in our legal system,” attorney Thomas P. Alberti told the ABC News. “We are confident that the truth will prevail.”

Bayside High may have looked like a multicultural school in the 1990s on “Saved by the Bell,” but a new sketch on TruTV’s sketch comedy show “Friends of the People” shows that it still had an under-represented class, and they were both ignored and confused by the antics on the popular kids show.
The sketch, called “Black Kids of Bayside,” featured this side group of African-American friends interacting near Zack Morris and his group, and yet they were completely ignored. Even Lark Voorhies’ Lisa Turtle, who is black, couldn’t see or hear them, no matter how loud...

When Glee first debuted in 2009, the Fox series incorporated music in a way that hadn’t been seen on television before. Without any big-name stars in the cast, the show was a definite risk. Now, more than five years and 100 episodes later, the risk has more than paid off. With a 3-D film, sold-out concert tours, millions of albums sold, and Billboard records broken, the cast and crew got together in Hollywood on Tuesday night — the same night the show’s 100th episode aired – with plenty to celebrate. EW was on the scene and asked the cast to look back...

In 2011, we all seemingly discovered dubstep and learned how to pronounce "Bon Iver." We marveled at the success of Adele, Katy Perry and Rihanna, took the leap with Beyoncé and got royal with Jay-z and Kanye. We said hello to bright new stars like Frank Ocean and the Weeknd and watched former breakouts Florence Welch and Drake take the next steps in their careers. Oh, and pretty much all of us bought Lady Gaga's Born This Way, or at least debated its pricing schemes.

When only four percent of scripted TV shows feature Lgbt characters, what's a gay girl to do? Why, strap on your gay goggles and watch TV along with us, of course! Our handy appraisal scale is better than any old letter grade. Other sites A+. We say, "What about our lezzy-lady feelings?"
I learned three things from this week’s 2 Broke Girls: 1) The three worst things in history are “Hitler,” “hipsters” and “karaoke;” 2) When in doubt, pretend you’re Nicole Richie; and 3) Everybody wires the furs, bitch. Wait, I also learned a fourth thing: Whenever music comes on and two or more women are alone in a room together they will engage in an elaborate dance montage. That is just, like, the rules of feminism. Speaking of the rules of feminism, Max helps Caroline break into her old posh pad to pick up her bite guard because friends don’t...

This was one of the more likable offering of the season so far for 2 Broke Girls, as the writers really attempted to shape the two leads into three-dimensional, fully-realized characters.
It's a bit crazy that a sitcom that drops the B-word so often, and makes sexual jokes without any hesitation, can tug at my heartstrings as "And the Rich People Problems" did.
Hate it or love it, the show-runners have given both leads a helluva mouth. And not the dainty, cutesy kind of mouths that only giggle and sing sugary stuff but the kind that curses and makes crass jokes. I mention it because I've seen feedback on how "crass" the two girls are. I admit last week's episode kind of jarred me a bit with the B-word. I think I would have forgiven it, though, if I hadn't found the ethnic jokes puzzling, unfunny, and borderline offensive.
Tonight was different.

It’s prom night, but unfortunately Eric Stoltz doesn’t bring in Sissy Spacek to murder everyone. Luckily, Will is absent for most of the episode and Sue only shows up in small doses. The gang attends their barely-chaperoned junior prom and I refuse to believe none of them are seniors. Quinn, Santana and Lauren lose prom queen, as they should since they’re in glee and at the apparent bottom of the social barrel, but the winner is a mortified Kurt. Dave and Santana refuse to leave their closets (must be awful nice in there) while Artie mopes over not having Brittany.

Last night Air Supply canceled their gig at the McKinley High junior prom, so the New Directions kids filled in.
First up, Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff) returns to duet with Rachel (Lea Michelle) on Adele's "Rolling In The Deep." These two sound great together.
Next, Artie (Kevin McHale) tries to patch things up with Brittany by wooing her in Home Ec class with Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely."
Puck (Mark Salling) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) kick off their prom set with Rebecca Black's "Friday." And it's far better than you might imagine.
Rachel really darkens the otherwise festive mood with Christina Perri’s “Jar of Hearts.” Beautiful, but seemed a bit of a downer for a prom.
Next page! Blaine and Santana rock the house.
Blaine (Darren Criss) horns in on the stage, with Black Kids’ “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You.

If you’d told me when I was a little dyke that one day there’d be a mega-popular youth audience show with five, count ‘em five, major queer characters all with their own powerful storylines, I’d have patted you on the head and done my best to avoid you from then on.
And yet, here we have it, with prom dresses, tuxes and corsages. That’s right: This week, Glee went to the prom.
Jacob Ben-Israel found it all too exciting, especially since it gave him the chance to ask semi-reformed bad boy Puck, “Where does Lauren keep your balls?”
When Puck threatened violence, Jacob just swallowed and squeaked, “I’m not scared; I’ve been hit by a girl before.”
But Puck’s clearly thinking. So is Principal Figgins; when his favorite band, Air Supply, bails on playing at the prom, Figgins offers New Directions the $400 he...

"Glee" has kicked off the first weekend of May by releasing their take on "Friday". The male stars like Chord Overstreet, Kevin McHale and Mark Salling get auto-tuned in this cover version. They are going to perform the revamped tune on "Prom Queen" episode which airs next Tuesday, May 10.
Soon after their rendition was out for Gleeks' listening pleasure, Rebecca Black, the singer who recorded the original viral hit and made it famous via YouTube, took to her Twitter to reveal her excitement over the re-recorded song. The teenager wrote, "Just heard Glee's version of Friday!! :D."
Beside having Sam, Artie and Puck on "Friday", the upcoming "Prom Queen" episode will also feature Rachel Berry singing Adele's hit "Rolling in the Deep". The female New Directions member played by Lea Michele is going to team up with Jonathan Groff's Jesse St. James for the cover version.

While we're gearing up for "Glee's" "Prom Queen" episode, it's probably a good idea to prep by listening to the episode's songs obsessively. That way, we'll all be able to sing along by the time Tuesday (May 10) rolls around.
We've already shared Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff's take on Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" and the cast's inevitable cover of Rebecca Black's "Friday," but listen to a few more cuts from the show below.
First, Santana and Mercedes take on a prom essential, Abba's "Dancing Queen":
Next, Blaine (with an assist from Tina and Brittany) pop out to Black Kids' "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You":
Artie, hot off his awesome acoustic cover of "Fleetwood Mac's" "Never Going Back Again," gives Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" (for Brittany?) similar treatment:
Finally, Rachel gets all ballad-y with Christina Perri's...

Suck hits DVD and blu-ray on September 28th.
It takes a brave writer to name their movie Suck - you're pretty much daring reviewers to come up with a clever spin on why your movie does just that. It's good for writer/director/star Rob Stefaniuk that his sophomore effort behind the camera is pretty damned good. A combination of a smart cast, some moments of visual inventiveness, and a clever script save the movie from the curse of its title.
A small confession: I was actually prepared to dislike the movie in its opening minutes, thanks to some terrible vampire makeup and worse music but I got over it.
Suck follows a struggling Canadian band called The Winners after their bassist, Jennifer (Jessica Paré), has a fateful encounter with a 300-year-old vampire named Queeny. The band's hapless lead, Joey (Stefaniuk) knows something's off with his ex-girlfriend and current bandmate...

The Jennifer’s Body soundtrack. If some laboratory boffin types were to put their egg-shaped noggins together and come up with the precise scientific formula for a successful teen movie then their working model might just look something like the forthcoming Jennifer’s Body. Because the cocktail of elements on show in the new offering from the writer/director team-up of Juno scripter Diablo Cody and Girlfight lenser Karyn Kusama seems carefully calculated to seduce as much adolescent audience coin as possible - their film promising spooky diabolism, darkly comic high school satire, a smattering of gore, a dash of rock ’n’ roll, a hot actress (Amanda Seyfried) donning specs in a bid to pass off as an empathetically geeky point of audience identification, and pin-up du jour Megan Fox going for a spot of skinny-dipping. Yet when it comes to the soundtrack, the commercial leanings of Jennifer’s Body...

Among the other artists contributing songs are Dashboard Confessional, All Time Low, Little Boots, Black Kids, and Florence and the Machine. But Panic! Putting together a proper motion picture soundtrack is something of a lost art. Often thought of as a final step in packaging a film for it's final release, many films suffer from a lack of care when it comes to a proper sonic counterpart. While original scores can set the mood and tone of a film, working brilliantly for epics that require no "pop" or "rock" enhancement, in some cases the latter works better and that's usually where the problems start to show. When done correctly, a proper soundtrack should conjure images of the film for listeners long after the last flicker of the projector, or the final screen of the DVD.
The first decade of the "new millennium" has been overtly devoid of memorable soundtracks for the horror genre (sans a few exceptions), as if the music supervisor was brought on-board last-minute and given a tiny budget to work with.

Summer season is over, so what should we be looking forward to before the bell strikes on New Years Eve? These are our 15 most anticipated new movies, 2009.
Inglourious Basterds – released 21 August 2009
After the chop-socky homage of Kill Bill: Volume One, the spaghetti western styling of its sequel, and the mock-sploitation schlock of the Death Proof segment of Grindhouse, Quentin Tarantino’s tour of blood-letting movie genres now takes him to occupied France, with the rapid-yakking auteur delivering his response to such behind-enemy-lines WWII flicks as Robert Aldrich’s The Dirty Dozen and indeed the 1978 Inglorious Bastards (of which Tarantino’s movie shares naught but the (ahem) bastardised version of its title). Inglourious Basterds premiered at Cannes earlier this year to a somewhat muddled response. While the performance of Christopher Waltz as Nazi rotter Hans Landa drew praise, as did the irreverent audacity of Tarantino’s take on the most traumatic conflict in global history,...
