We have an exhilarating zombie action short for you to watch today called Dying Light, which is based on the survival video game of the same name by Warner Bros. Interactive. Like the game, the short is presented in a first-person perspective, and it’s a really fun non-stop parkour-style zombie chase sequence.
Inspired by the highly-anticipated action survival game, Dying Light, this Real-Life Parkour video puts you in the Pov of a runner and takes you on a frantic escape from zombies through the rooftops of Cambridge, UK. We had a lot of fun making this and cant wait to play the game when it comes out at the end of the month!
The film was directed by UK filmmaker Scott Bass. Here’s some information on the game:
The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic,...

Holy crap, zombies everywhere! Another fun short film to wrap up the week, this one a point-of-view (Pov) film based on the upcoming zombie video game Dying Light. Directed by Scott Bass, the short follows one parkour runner as he escapes a zombie attack on rooftops (they filmed in Cambridge, England). The game is also first person, so that experience extends to this short in order to introduce gamers to a ravaged world where they'll fight off "hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies". It's another solid example of how much can be done with just a camera and a good idea, since filmmaking technology is readily available. Fun times. Thanks to SlashFilm for the tip on this kick ass film. Fans of "Mirror's Edge" were so hyped about EA's much-anticipated announcement of "Mirror's Edge 2," they decided to pay tribute to parkour heroine Faith by having someone jump off of buildings with a camera on their head.
The video is courtesy of Ampisound, who describe themselves on their YouTube channel as a "Parkour and Freerunning production house." they're comprised of a team of six athletes and director Scott Bass who also directed the "Mirror's Edge" short.
"Mirror's Edge 2," the follow-up to the mostly well-received first-person freerunning game, is headed to the PS4 and Xbox One from "Battlefield 4" developer Dice.
