The group disbanded eleven days after the death of its lead singer Renato Russo. The remaining duo Dado Villa-Lobos and Marcelo Bonfá performed with the group's name in the 2010's paying tribute some of the album's anniversary and had actor Wagner Moura replacing Russo.
From 1985 to 1997, they released eight studio album and a couple of live and/or greatest hits compilations, and one MTV Unplugged (the very first from any artist in Brazil).
