With the imminent arrival of Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn Of Justice, a lot of the old arguments generated from the previous film are being taken out and argued. Most prominently on one side of the argument is Mark Hughes filing at Forbes, he other is most eloquently represented by Mark Waid, who has the advantage of, y’know, actually having written the character numerous times. (for starters) and Kevin Powers.

If Stoke could bottle Mark Hughes’ charm and sell it, they could be billionaires.
After signing a hatful of former Champions League players (and winners), the former Manchester United player has now convinced Porto’s highly rated Giannelli Imbula to swap Portugal for Stoke.
That deal – worth a massive £18.2m – is now Stoke’s record transfer, smashing the previous record of £12m they paid for Xherdan Shaqiri.
Stoke had initially pulled out, according to the Mail, after Porto’s demands were deemed too excessive, but talks were restarted and now they’ve signed a hugely talented defensive midfielder who could be the key to allowing some of the more attack-minded players to go forward with more freedom. There’s a real possibility they’re going to be one of the best teams to watch in the second half of the season.

On Saturday, Mark Hughes’ entertaining Stoke side welcomed Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace to The Britannia Stadium in a game the would have seen the Potters draw level with the Eagles on twenty six points and possibly even leapfrog above them with a convincing win.
Palace travelled up the M40 in good form having won two and drawn one of their last three games. They could also boast the third best away record in the division; sitting just behind the Premier League’s pace setters Leicester and Arsenal. Stoke were also in pretty good knick after beating Manchester City 2-0 in their last home game and had been gradually building a head of steam after a slow start to the season.
Both teams weren’t without their troubles however, with Stoke scoring less than a goal a game throughout their first sixteen games while Palace were...

This Saturday Mark Hughes’ exciting Stoke side welcome a Crystal Palace side high in confidence and flying high in the league. While Stoke sit five places below Palace, there’s only three points between the sides so a win for Stoke could see them go as high as sixth if they win convincingly and results go their way.
Most will see this clash as a attack vs attack but does that paint the whole picture? Both sides have exceptional defensive records this season and have actually struggled to put the ball in the net, despite the great attacking options available. While that may be a cause for concern for most, both sides could equally be said to be still finding their feet without needing to look over their shoulders at the relegation battle below them

Goals from Marko Arnautovic and Mame Diouf secured a sensational five minute comeback as Stoke fought back from two goals down against Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs will regret not putting the game out of Mark Hughes’ side’s reach as they squandered a hatful of clear-cut opportunities in what proved to be a very entertaining fixture.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side took the leader in the 19th minute after Eric Dier’s header from a Christian Eriksen corner flew past Jack Butland and into the net.
Spurs’ lead was doubled when Nacer Chadli volleyed the ball home after a Ben Davies cross found him at the back post.
Stoke’s revival started after they were awarded a penalty in the 77th minute after Toby Alderweireld brought down Joselu.
Arnautovic scored from the penalty spot and just five minutes later Diouf levelled after heading home from a Stephen Ireland cross.

Arsenal are into the final of the Barclays Asia Trophy after beating a Singapore Select XI 4-0 in their first pre-season game. A hat-trick from youngster Chuba Akpom as well as a Jack Wilshere penalty gave Arsenal a comfortable victory, and they will now go on to face Everton in the final on Saturday. Arsene Wenger put trust in his young squad, having only named six substitutes for the match and opportunities being given to several youth players.
Several big names were not involved, with the likes of Mesut Özil, Petr Cech and Alexis Sanchez missing out. The youngsters did not hesitate to take their chance though, with Arsenal always in control and rarely threatened at the back against what was a very average Singapore Select XI. New signing Cech is expected to start on Saturday, after youngster Emiliano Martinez was given a chance to impress in their landslide victory.

Aston Villa have had a bid for Stoke goalkeeper Begovic rejected, according to Sky Sports.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has been the subject of transfer interest from a number of other Premier League clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.
Tim Sherwood will be hoping Stoke decide to part ways with Begovic, who has just 12 months remaining on his contract, as Villa look to provide further competition for Brad Guzan. The Potters’ rejection of the bid however emphasises that he features prominently in Mark Hughes’ plans for next season.
Sky Sports are reporting that Stoke are planning to loan out Butland should Begovic commit to Stoke and state that manager Mark Hughes and chief executive Tony Scholes have held discussions with the 27-year-old about his future.

Newcastle United are ready to pounce and scupper Stoke City’s deal for Ukrainian international winger Yevhen Konoplyanka, according to reports.
The 25-year-old winger is available on a free transfer this summer having let his Dnipro Dnipropetovsk deal run down and he has been courted by Mark Hughes’ Potters for months.
However, the Daily Mirror report that Stoke are stalling on Konoplyanka’s £100,000-a-week wage demands – and that could open the door for Newcastle.
It is hard to see the Magpies agreeing to such personal terms, but Konoplyanka is a 45-cap international who has been named Ukrainian player of the year on three separate occasions, so that could convince Newcastle that it is a deal worth making.
A return of 10 goals from 45 Ukraine caps is also impressive – as is the eight strikes he netted in 39 appearances for Dnipro in 2014-15 as he helped the...

Stoke City are one of the finest models of establishing oneself in the top-flight. A modest club with limited infrastructure, they have managed to comfortably support themselves amongst the elite of the Premier League for six years, without ever having becoming embroiled in a serious relegation dogfight. With each year, their stock has risen considerably, and their ever-growing ambition is matched in the rising standard of their transfer targets.
Tony Pulis and Mark Hughes have both fashioned themselves as wheeler-dealers over the last number of years, so it’s no surprise that Stoke have been busy in each and every transfer window over the last number of years.
With Hughes attempting to change Stoke’s style, remodelling the Potters’ rambunctious long-ball tactics that worked so well under Pulis, the targets have also taken a step in a different direction. While there will always be a reliance and emphasis on strength,...

No control. Those two small words are what sum up the transfer dealings of Queens Park Rangers over the last number of years. With both Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp recently treating the club like a game of ‘Football Manager’, it’s no surprise to see the results. Too many players of the wrong sort have been acquired, resulting in a bad harmony within the camp. Overpaid mercenaries with no affinity or loyalty for the club have aimlessly meandered through the door, using the club as a cash cow and treating supporters with nothing but contempt.
However, while the club has been a revolving door of seemingly endless transfers since promotion to the top-flight was first acquired three years ago, there have inevitably been a string of players who the club have failed to entice.

Manchester City forward Edin Dzeko could start despite an injury scare during his side’s 3-1 win over Liverpool on Monday while strike partner Sergio Aguero is in line for his first start of the Premier League season. However, new signing Eliaquim Mangala is not yet ready to play.
Stoke should have Bojan Krkic at their disposal with the on-loan forward returning to training on Thursday following a rib injury. Phil Bardsley is a doubt with a knee problem while defensive colleague Geoff Cameron also faces a spell on the sidelines with an injury of his own.
Key Stats
Manchester City have won seven successive league games at home to Stoke, including all six previous encounters in the Premier League without conceding a goal.

Chelsea have confirmed that Victor Moses will move on a season-long loan to Stoke City. The Nigerian winger will hope to enjoy greater form and more regular playing time than at Liverpool, where he was loaned for the entirety of the 2013/14 season.
Moses joined Chelsea in 2012/13 for an undisclosed fee believed to be in the region of £9m (inclusive of add-ons) and scored a solid total of ten goals in forty-three appearances in his debut season, albeit managing only one in the Premier League.
His place in the team was put under threat the following year by the signings of Andre Schurrle and Willian. Moving to Liverpool, he struggled for goals and appearances, scoring only twice in twenty-two outings, many of which were as a substitute.
Nevertheless, he started all four of Nigeria’s games at the 2014 World Cup, putting in respectable if unspectacular performances.

Nothing is certain in football apart from the astonishing capacity for shocks that come every time the transfer windows open, and it looks like Stoke have made a strong play for the oddest, and potentially most brilliant signing of the summer period, after confirming that they’ve taken Spanish attacker Bojan Krkic from Barcelona.
Ten days ago it had been suggested that the player was about to join on loan, following on from his temporary spell with Ajax last season, where he scored 5 goals in 32 games, but Stoke’s confirmation states that Bojan has signed permanently for Mark Hughes’ side.

Summer blockbusters don't always score rave reviews from movie critics, but will Transformers: Age of Extinction break the mold? Well, the Michael Bay-helmed flick, now starring Mark Wahlberg instead of Shia Labeouf, is winning some critics over. Forbes' Mark Hughes calls the fourth flick from the franchise "the ultimate Transformers movie," praising Wahlberg for his "wonderful comedic timing and delivery" and "having an earnestness to his delivery that makes him come across as a likable, ordinary guy." As we all know, Mark Hughes has been quite vocal with his opinions on Batman v Superman, In his latest article, he explains why all Man of Steel fans should not worry where WB's are taking the most iconic character in history..... For months now, we've seen Superman fans asserting that Superman is being forgotten or pushed aside, that Warner appears to be abandoning Superman's franchise altogether, and that Superman's portrayal is suffering from lack of respect or faithfulness while headed toward even worse disrespect in the forms of mockery and beat-down at the hands of Batman. The general conclusion these fans have reached is that Warner intends on turning Superman into a sort of patsy, with Batman being the dominant character and representing arguments "debunking" the ideals Superman stands for, in a series of nothing but team-up movies that essentially ignore Superman. Warner knows that teaming up Superman with...

If there’s one thing we can be thankful for when it comes to Batman Vs. Superman, it’s the fact that the man directing it is just as big a geek as the rest of us. While Zack Snyder has had his hands in several high-profile superhero projects before, this is undoubtedly his biggest film yet, and he couldn’t be more excited. He’s deep in pre-production on the as-yet-untitled Man of Steel sequel, with cameras expected to start rolling in Detroit any day now.
Snyder took some time out of his busy schedule for an interview with Forbes writer Mark Hughes that covered a wide variety of topics, from how he became a Batman fan to his thoughts on the Terry Gilliam/Watchmen controversy that sparked earlier this year. It’s a great interview that’s definitely worth your time, but for the sake of this article...

Forbes has conducted an extremely thorough interview with director Zack Snyder. In it, he covers just about everything there is to discuss about Batman vs Superman. From how Batman came to be involved in the film, to his views on the characters, to the costumes, his philosophies, and more, Snyder speaks quite candidly.
Read on to see what Snyder has in mind for his upcoming DC epic. But keep in mind that some of this sounds cooler than it actually is, since Snyder is prone to talking about elements in his films that don’t actually exist- except for maybe in his head.
Here’s how Batman came to be involved in the sequel to Man of Steel, according to Snyder. Though I think interviewer Mark Hughes’s theory from a few months ago was also a likely factor, as well.

Welcome to Gameweek 30′s edition of Fantasy Premier League: The Comprehensive Guide. After two shortened gameweeks, a tricky Gameweek 30 awaits, before the highly anticipated and pivotal Gameweek 31. Who do we buy, sell, and put as captain? We’ll get to that after going through this week’s fixtures.
Manchester City travel to Kingston to face Hull City. The Sky Blues are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League away games, but they haven’t won away at Hull City in the league since their first ever meeting in October 1909. Since then, the Tigers have won four and drawn three of the seven home meetings.
Everton entertain Cardiff City at Goodison Park as the Toffees make a push towards Europe. The last time Cardiff City played Everton at Goodison Park in the league was in April 1962 and the Toffees won 8-3.

Can Manchester City respond positively following their defeat against Barcelona on Tuesday and get their Premier League campaign back on track against Stoke?
Team News
Manchester City continue to be without their top goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Captain Vincent Kompany has however recovered from a hamstring injury of his own, after picking up a strain against Barcelona, though centre-back colleague Matija Nastasic (knee) is out.
Stoke could be without Oussama Assaidi until April after the winger damaged knee ligaments during the club’s warm weather break in Dubai.
Striker John Guidetti, on loan from City, is ineligible to face his parent club.

When thinking ahead to the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel (tentatively being called Batman vs. Superman), fans leave no stone unturned when it comes to learning as many details about the film as possible. Plot points and casting announcements are one thing, but we’re also wondering about future plans, filming locations, production dates and of course, costumes. Specifically those for the newly rebooted Batman and the newly introduced Wonder Woman.
We’ve been hearing buzz about Ben Affleck’s batsuit for months now, from “inside sources” who have seen it and from a few people close to Affleck, including friend and longtime collaborator Kevin Smith and his wife, Jennifer Garner.
Garner seems excited about the suit, telling Entertainment Tonight, ”I’ve seen the suit. Unbelievably cool. It’s a total reinvention, it looks great.” This coincides with the gushing approval from Smith, who saw a photo of the...

While it.s certainly no Star Wars: Episode VII in terms of leasing out a city-sized rumor mill, Zack Snyder.s upcoming Batman, Superman and the Gang feature has been the source for many a superhero-inspired conversation over the last few months. The character listing, casting and plotlines are all fodder for detailed debates, but one of the biggest topics revolves around the all-new Batsuit design, which has gotten repeated gushing approval of Bat-fanatic Kevin Smith. There was talk that fans would finally get to see the goods by the end of this month, but those rumors have been overtaken by other rumors that we may have to wait a couple more weeks. Holy lack of confirmation, Batman! The news first started swirling when Forbes film blogger and BatmanOnFilm admin Mark Hughes went to Twitter a week ago to announce the Batsuit and Wonder Woman reveal would be in the...

We've been hearing a lot about Ben Affleck's Batsuit from people who have seen it, and they've been getting the fans excited about the look director Zack Snyder is going with. According to Forbes blogger Mark Hughes, we were supposed to get our first look at the suit this month along with Wonder Woman's costume. Now it looks like the reveal has been delayed until March. Hughes tweeted out the following,
"The delay in start of filming might push it back a tad, but I'm hearing it may drop as originally planned in next 10 to 12 days."
He also went on to say,
"Fyi I'm hearing the bat-suit reveal is likely pushed back a bit due to the delay in filming. That's not confirmed, but I trust the info… The upside is, the reveal sounds like it'll be bigger & cooler than previously thought!"

New Batman Vs Superman Batsuit reveal may be delayed until March 2014,new details. According to a new report from Comicbookmovie.com and their sources, there may be a bit of a delay in seeing the new Ben Affleck Batsuit. It was previously reported by blogger Mark Hughes of Forbes magazine that it would be released in just a few short days. Now, he's come back with some new intel that claims, the reveal may be held back until sometime in March 2014 due to the film's release date being recently set back. Mark tweeted: "Fyi I'm hearing the bat-suit reveal is likely pushed back a bit due to the delay in filming. That's not confirmed, but I trust the info. The upside is, the reveal sounds like it'll be bigger & cooler than previously thought!" Hughes is currently speculating that the reveal will happen in March with no confirmation on where he got that info from.

Kevin Smith teased (or trolled) about seeing a picture of the new batsuit and made fans anxious to see what he saw. Even Ben's wife Jennifer Garner and best friend Matt Damon have claimed they have seen the suit--or at least a glimpse. One thing they all have in common on their comments is the suit is amazing and awesome. Then, not too long ago, blogger Mark Hughes of Forbes tweeted that we would be seeing the new Batman suit and Ww costume very soon and was quoted saying "Okay, fans, get ready, a bat-suit & Ww reveal seems to be imminent, as in possibly days away." Then Mark Hughes tweeted again saying the reveal has been pushed back. His exact quote is "The delay in start of filming might push it back a tad, but I'm hearing it may drop as originally planned in next 10 to 12 days," Now that fans...

If you're like me and you're still not sold on Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman in Batman Vs. Superman, here's a piece of fan-made art that might change your mind. The costume design doesn't look too far off from what we might end up seeing in Zack Snyder's film.
I've also been hearing rumors that we could get our first official look at the main characters from Snyder's film by the end of February. That rumor comes from Forbes blogger Mark Hughes, who tweeted,

Hopefully that's still the plan, because we all want to see this Batsuit we've been hearing so much about!

If a costumed superhero film requires location shooting, studios these days are now in the habit of releasing portrait photos of the actors in costume before a filming begins to avoid unflattering paparazzi photos being the "first look" that fans get.
As a result, Forbes reporter Mark Hughes claims that we could see the costumes from "Batman vs. Superman" - specifically Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman - before the end of next week. He recently tweeted:
"Okay, fans, get ready, a bat-suit & Ww reveal seems to be imminent, as in possibly days away. Please do keep in mind, folks, I said this is based on the apparent originally planned reveal-date, before filming was delayed. That said, I do get a sense that the reveal will probably go forward as planned, roughly in the next 2 weeks. That's my gut feeling."

Word round the campfire (ie, Forbes blogger Mark Hughes) is that we could well be getting our first official look the main characters from Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman themed sequel as early as next week -- so that's not only Superman and Batman, but Wonder Woman too! He's not certain of course, but he does seem pretty confident that we'll get something fairly soon. Anyway, in the meantime could the below piece of fan-made concept art be something similar to what we see in the movie? We have heard rumors that Gadot's Wonder Woman costume would definitely not be anything like the classic skimpy bikini, and more armor-like. Either way, this looks pretty cool I'm sure you'll agree. Would you be happy with something like this? Or would you prefer a slightly more classic look for the character? Sound off below.

Well, the last week or so has been interesting if you’re a Superman fan, hasn’t it? After months of hearing news that pertained almost exclusively to the other characters in his sequel, we finally started to see the focus shift back to Big Blue, himself. We had Henry Cavill sightings in Detroit, with excited fans chatting up the actor and seemingly getting him to spill important bits of info. Then, on Friday, we got to find out who Snyder and Co. have cast as Superman’s nemesis, Lex Luthor.
Yes, the casting of Jesse Eisenberg started a firestorm of discussion. It was a meme-ready casting, for sure- with my favorites being about how fans wanted Heisenberg (Bryan Cranston), and instead they got Eisenberg. This has lead to several of our brother sites around the web posting columns about why we should all give the Social Network actor a chance.

Stoke City are in the process of signing Jonathan Pitroipa on loan from Rennes, according to Sky Sports.
The Burkina Faso international is understood to be heading to England for talks with the Midlands club and is also expected to undergo a medical.
The 27-year-old winger has been with Rennes since 2011, and has scored 14 goals for the French side since arriving from Hamburger Sv.
Stoke, who currently sit 16th in the Premier League, just three points off the relegation zone, are looking to bolster their attacking options and boost their survival hopes.
And it is hoped the arrival of Pitroipa will help reverse Mark Hughes’s side’s fortunes on the pitch between now and the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Stoke continue to chase Blackpool winger Tom Ince.

Stoke City have rebuffed an inquiry from Sunderland regarding the availability of their full-back Geoff Cameron, citing his indispensability on the field.
According to Stoke-based paper The Sentinel, Potters management were loath to entertain the bid, shutting down any interest the Wearsiders might have in the American international because of his increasing value to Mark Hughes.
The 28-year-old has become indispensable to the Potters’ campaign and has endeared himself to management with a series of consistent performances – Cameron has made 64 appearances for the Staffordshire club and picked up plaudits for his defensive work.
However, it is believed the inquiry for the former Houston Dynamo man is not linked to Stoke’s continued pursuit of Sunderland’s Lee Cattermole.

Lee Cattermole appears to be staying at Sunderland despite a pursuit by Stoke City after negotiations broke down.
The Potters were believed to have improved their offer to £5 million for the combative midfielder after an earlier bid was rejected.
Yet according to Sky Sports News, Stoke’s hopes have now been dashed – Cattermole is likely to stay on Wearside after reports that negotiations have broken down.
The midfielder was believed to be on his way after Mackems boss Gus Poyet signed his former Brighton charge Liam Bridcutt for £2.5 million earlier this week.
And that move piqued the interest of Potters boss Mark Hughes, who pursued the midfielder in an attempt to bolster his midfield.
However, it now appears Sunderland’s management want him to stay and fight for his place, meaning the Welsh manager will need look elsewhere for a player to help kick-start a run to the top half.

Crystal Palace’s hopes of securing Tom Ince on a loan deal could be hijacked by Stoke City, with Sky Sports reporting that Mark Hughes’ side have now made an offer to sign Ince on a permanent deal. Crystal Palace had been looking set to secure Ince’s services, but the Stoke offer looks like it could scupper those hopes.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Ince would much rather move to a new club on loan. The Blackpool star is keenly aware that he could get far more money in the summer if he was to go on loan now and impress in the Premier League. The latest Sky Bet odds are reflecting this, with Ince remaining a 4/7 favourite to join Palace. The odds for Stoke have significantly shortened however, now standing at 7/4. (Odds fluctuating regularly)
Stoke manager Mark Hughes will be hopeful of those odds get even shorter.

Stoke are optimistic in their pursuit of Sunderland’s defensive midfielder Lee Cattermole, according to a Tweet from Sky Sport’s Ian Watson.
Watson posted on the micro-social networking site that Liam Bridcutt’s move to the Stadium of Light had given the Potters hope of successfully negotiating a move for Carttermole.
Bridcutt has joined the Black Cats for £3 million from Brighton & Hove Albion, and that could now spark the sale of Cattermole to Stoke.
Mark Hughes’s side have made a £4 million bid for Cattermole but Sunderland are relictant to sell, and an improved offer is thought to be on the way.

Rob Dorsett, who is positioned at the Stoke training ground for Sky Sports News, understands that Cattermole is the Potters’ primary target this month.
Time is running out with tonight’s 23:00 deadline approaching, and Sunderland are keen to hold on to the midfielder.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes was far from happy after he witnessed his side lose 1-0 to Sunderland at the Stadium Of Light and he felt aggrieved by some of the refereeing decisions during the match.
The Potters lost Steven Nzonzi early in the second half as they trailed 1-0. The Stoke man picked up his second yellow after a foul on Altidore, which upset the manager. Hughes said:
“Once again we’ve been hurt by poor refereeing decisions. He’s unlucky as I feel Altidore went down very easily, there was minimal contact. It’s outrageous from my point of view.”
Hughes was extremely unhappy as he feels his side were the better of the two on the night but they came away with nothing to show for it, slipping closer towards the dreaded drop zone. He said:
“We’re disappointed that our performance got no result.

Chelsea overcame Premier League rivals Stoke City by a goal to nil on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge. In the end the Blues cruised home as the visitors rarely threatened once Chelsea had taken the lead, although Mark Hughes was pleased his side was in the game until the end.
There were a couple of stand out performances, but Jose Mourinho will be concerned that his team struggled to put the game to bed. Samuel Eto’o sliced a very good chance wide, while Asmir Begovic pulled off a couple of good saves as well as having his woodwork to thank for restricting Chelsea to only a single goal.
Here is where the game was won and lost…..

Jose Mourinho tried to play down the pressure on his side after his side was drawn to play away at Manchester City in the fifth round having overcome Stoke one-nil at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
“It’s good. Our priority for the season is to improve, and to improve you need difficult games. We take on the best team twice in fifteen days. We travel to the best stadium, where they smash every team, where they have scored four, five goals against the big teams like Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester United.”
“We have nothing to lose.”
The Blues boss felt his deserved to win more comfortably than the one-nil score line as Chelsea beat Stoke at Stamford Bridge to progress to the fifth round of the Fa Cup on Sunday.
“We played a very good game. The one-zero does not reflect the quality and dominance of our game.

Stoke City won their last meeting with Chelsea in December, but it was their first victory in 13 attempts. In among those encounters were ten Blues wins, including a 7-0 and 4-0.
Mark Hughes thus achieved something predecessor Tony Pulis never did by beating his former club. Now the Potters travel to Stamford Bridge in the last tie of Fa Cup fourth round weekend. Stoke reached the final in 2011, but were runners-up to Manchester City.
No team in England has dominated this competition like Chelsea in recent years. They have featured in four of the last seven Fa Cup finals, winning all of them. The first of those came in 2007 during Jose Mourinho’s first spell as Blues boss.
The Potters have lost four of their last six matches, but their single recent win came in the cup when they knocked Championship leaders Leicester City out in the last round.
Stoke City won their last meeting with Chelsea in December, but it was their first victory in 13 attempts. In among those encounters were ten Blues wins, including a 7-0 and 4-0.

Premier League strugglers Cardiff City will swap Nigeria forward Peter Odemwingie for Stoke City’s Trinidad and Tobago target man Kenwyne Jones.
BBC Sport reports the deal will go ahead when Jones, 29, completes a medical in the Welsh capital. Both he and Odemwingie, 32, are out of favour at their current clubs under new management.
Jones has played second fiddle at the Potters to Peter Crouch since Mark Hughes succeeded Tony Pulis. Odemwingie, a Bluebirds summer signing for Malky Mackay, is now surplus to requirements as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer swooped for Jo Inge Berget from former club Molde this week.
Stoke will take over the remainder of the two-year deal Odemwingie signed when he joined Cardiff. The length of Jones’s contract at the Bluebirds is not known at this stage. He refused to play for the Potters against Liverpool a fortnight ago and...

Everton will attempt to sign Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones for a knockdown price of just £1 million.
Tuesday’s Guardian revealed Toffees manager Roberto Martinez has identified Trinidad and Tobago frontman Jones, 29, as a bargain basement replacement for Nikica Jelavic as the Croatian will join Hull City Tigers.
Jones has six months left on his contract at the Britannia Stadium. He has fallen out of favour under Potters boss Mark Hughes this season. Despite being prolific in cup competitions this term, Jones has scored just 13 Premier League goals since moving to the Britannia Stadium from Sunderland for £8 million in 2010.
Stoke bolstered their own attacking options with the permanent capture of Stephen Ireland from Aston Villa and the loan signing of Manchester City striker John Guidetti. Jones thus could be sold in the winter window to ensure he is not lost for nothing in the summer.

Stoke City have signed Sweden striker John Guidetti on loan from Manchester City for the rest of the season after making midfielder Stephen Ireland’s spell at the Britannia Stadium permanent.
Premier League rules only allow for two loan players to be in a club squad, so Potters boss Mark Hughes moved quickly for Guidetti once Ireland moved from Aston Villa.
Guidetti, 21, has one cap for Sweden but has struggled at the Etihad to make an impact because of stellar attacking options available to Manuel Pellegrini and his own injury problems. During the 2011-12 campaign, he scored 20 goals in 23 Eredivisie games on loan at Dutch heavyweights Feyenoord.
Of Guidetti, Hughes said to Stoke’s official website:
“We wanted to try and add different options to our attacking threat and John will certainly do that. He’s someone who if you get him in the right areas...

Liverpool finally recorded a Premier League win at Stoke City thanks to an own goal, Steven Gerrard’s penalty, a Luis Suarez brace and Daniel Sturridge scoring late on.
The visitors had never tasted victory at the Britannia, but got it here despite being pegged back to 2-2 at half time after leading 2-0. Peter Crouch and Charlie Adam came back to haunt their old club, restoring the Potters’ parity following early defensive errors which Aly Cissokho and Suarez profited from.
Raheem Sterling then won a soft penalty, however, and the returning Sturridge set Suarez up for a second. Jon Walters set up a grandstand finish, but Mark Hughes and his team went down 5-3 as Sturridge sunk Stoke at the death.
Brendan Rodgers’s Reds went ahead inside five minutes in fortuitous fashion. Cissokho saw his speculative effort take a massive deflection off home captain...
