- Ted Lang was born in San Francisco, California and is member of the Writers' Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA. He worked as a comedy writer and re-writer, rock and roll bands manager and concert promoter in San Francisco in the mid sixties alongside Chet Helms and Bill Graham, and his venue was "Longshoremens Hall."
Ted moved to Los Angeles in 1968 to write material for television, film and stand-up comics and was managed by Judy Thomas and represented by the legendary, Abby Greshler.
Ted punched up, brightened scripts, and wrote pilots for Comworld Entertainment/NBC, one of which included the acting debut of Brad Garrett, and other network projects. He wrote for Bob Hope (along with writing partner Steve Barcus), Joan Rivers, Danny Gans, Dom DeLuise, as well as many notable Las Vegas comedy acts.
Ted was partnered and worked with Sidney Marshall, Dean Zynetos, Steve Barcus, Larry Tucker, John Boni, Sandy Fries and many others with whom he punched-up scripts, arranged through, and supervised by, Greshler and Thomas.
