As we celebrate the momentous life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. today, and as many wonder if the gay community needs it's own Mlk to finish the job of securing Gay Equality or if his inspiration alone is enough, I just wanted to point out that, among the many great things the man did and was, he was also a big fan of Star Trek, and instrumental in getting Nichelle Nichols, Lt. Uhura, to stay on the show.
