Lionsgate has partnered with Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment to grab distribution rights in North America and the UK for the Indian actioner “Kill.”
While Indian films have played in North American theaters regularly, often in semi-wide or wide releases, it’s much less common for a major Hollywood studio to participate stateside. In fact, this is the first for a Hindi-language feature.
The Hindi-language flick, due for theatrical release in 2024, can be loosely described as “Die Hard on a train,” with the lone wolf hero (Lakshya) doing his best to dispatch the bandits (led by Raghav Juyal) so he can complete his journey to save his beloved (Tanya Maniktala) from an arranged marriage.

Pagglait is the story of Sandhya (played by Sanya), who is struggling to mourn the death of her husband. She sets off on a path of self-discovery, to find her identity and purpose in life, even as she has to contend with a quirky joint family.
Directed and written by Umesh Bist, the film also features Sayani Gupta, Shrutii Sharma, Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Meghna Malik and Rajesh Tailang.
"I make my debut as a music composer with a project very close to my heart. I am honoured to serve music to the world. The endearing story of Sandhya of self-belief and triumph is much like my musical journey and I feel honoured to be associated with a special film like Pagglait," said Arijit.

Mumbai, Jan 19 (Ians) Actor-filmmaker Rajesh Tailang, who has directed a short film during lockdown titled Trivedi Ji, has said that he would like to direct a feature film once in his life.
"I haven't planned to direct a feature film yet, but I want to make at least one feature film in my life," said Tailang, while interacting with Ians at a special screening of Trivedi Ji in the city.
Tailand has his YouTube channel named Theatre Talkies, about which he said: "We make short films for the channel. I do a poetry show on it called 'Chand Pe Chai'. Annup Sonii hosts a show on different stories called 'Suni Unsuni: Stories with Anup Soni'. I made a few documentaries on it as well. It's my seventh short film. I decided to make films because sometimes we get some time off from acting projects, so in that period I wanted to do some creative work.
