- Holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology.
- During college, he had a weekly 3 hour radio show every semester and one summer. The radio station was WMWM 91.7FM.
- Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from Salem State College, Salem, Massachusetts. He is a classmate of Thomas Silcott. Other classmates include Peter Zachari, Valerie Stanford and Steve Lawerence (not the singer). One of his instructors was SAG actor David Allen George.
- He is an Iraq War Veteran. Deployed to Iraq in 2003 for 15 months.
- From 1985 to 2005 was a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard. Retired at the age of 37 at the rank of Captain. Because of his time in the Guard, he was hired as the military advisor for the American Repertory Theatre's production of Henry V in 1995. He was also an extra in the play.
- Is a published author. As of December 2020, he has published four books, The Eleusian Effect, The King's Betrothed, Great Short Stories, Vol 1. and The Defender.
- Became interested in the drums at the age of 9. When he didn't think he started early enough to go professional, he developed a passion for movies, theatre and acting. He continues to play drums and is an excellent drummer. He played through high school, college and in semi professional groups.
- Performs as a stand up comedian in the New England area. (October 2018)
- Performs a one man play about SGT William H. Carney, the first Black Civil War Medal of Honor winner. Bruce co-wrote the play with the late David Paul Simon (d. 2012). David was Bruce's first acting teacher. (October 2018)
- Published his first novel, "The Eleusian Effect". A science fiction story set 200 years in the future. (May 2017)
- During his time as a college student, Bruce worked as a DJ at the college radio station, WMWM 91.7 with nationally syndicated cartoonist Keith Knight, creator of the K Chronicles.
