Anthrax singer Joey Belladonna is paying homage to the late Ronnie James Dio with a new tribute act.
Belladonna and his wife Krista will be performing songs from throughout Dio’s career — including his time in Black Sabbath and Rainbow — across four Florida concert dates in August, which can be seen below.
Wrote the singer on Facebook: “Krista and I are proud to announce our new tribute band to Ronnie James Dio! A night of songs from Dio, Sabbath, and Rainbow!”
According to Belladonna’s website, the tribute will see performances of Dio’s most iconic songs, namely: Dio’s “Holy Diver” and “Rainbow in the Dark”; Black Sabbath’s “Heaven and Hell” and “Neon Knights”; and Rainbow’s “Man on the Silver Mountain” and “Long Live Rock ‘n’ Roll.”

High on Fire have unveiled the video for “Cometh the Storm,” the title track from their new album arriving next Friday (April 19th).
The six-minute track opens with a subdued intro that’s guided by bassist/guitarist Jeff Matz. Much like the calm before the storm in question, Matz’s phrases slowly lead the arrangement to a bombastic chorus, as Coady Willis’ drumming picks up and the bellows of frontman Matt Pike assume a towering presence.

The confection of Matz and Pike’s thick, bass-y guitar tones are at the crux of these massive drops and dynamic peaks, which culminate in a satiating, late-track sludge breakdown. And it was Matz who broke ground on the composition of the song while noodling on his bass in the practice room.
“‘Cometh the Storm’ was built from a riff I started playing on bass at practice,” said Matz in a press release.

The intriguing storyline, striking animation, and thrilling action sequences of the Solo Leveling anime have made it the most appreciated anime of 2024. With just 7 episodes in, the series has made huge waves in the anime industry, and fans eagerly await the next episode of one of the best anime series on screen currently.
Solo Leveling
While nearly every manhwa and anime enthusiast has praised it, others have also attacked the anime, claiming that its strength lies solely in its animation and criticized it for lacking a compelling plot. According to some people, the series is being carried by its brilliant animation because of which the focus of the story is being diverted.
Because of these allegations, fans have started comparing Solo Leveling with another anime, which, according to fans, also became famous only because of its animation. The anime in discussion is Demon Slayer or Kimetsu No Yaiba, which also...

The late Satoshi Kon was amongst the most prominent Japanese animators, with his works transcending the world of anime and manga, thus creating a modern division of the genre, which chiefly addressed a more mature audience. However, he did not accomplish that via sex and violence, but through the profundity of his themes and a complex style of presentation. The former becomes evident in his nightmarish worlds of terror that are based on concepts like fixation, publicity and the perspective of reality and personal identity, while the latter is clear through the mixture of fantasy and reality in the surrealistic environments of his movies. Additionally, he was equally elaborative as a designer and animator; hence, his works amount to masterpieces, both visually and in content.
Satoshi Kon was born on October 12, 1963 in Kushiro, Hokkaido. Early on, he became a fan of anime and manga, chiefly “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Space Battleship Yamato...

Woman's shoes in front of the apartment's door mean that Dio (Shao-Jang Huang) should stay outside until their owner is gone. He doesn't even react to it with irritation, but is silently waiting for the coast to be clear, seated on the steps. There is no one at home who will great him with a welcoming smile anyway. Dio and his father Ray (amazing Ju Lin) have lost words for each other long time ago.
Raydio is screening at Black Movie
There are very few movies that catch the void of the pandemic-stricken years which have paralyzed our existence for few years. “Raydio” manages to bring them back in all their scaringly recognizable awkwardness: scarcity of jobs, social distancing, masks, empty cinemas and alienation. Zhan does it without pathos. But most of all, he makes us recall the sense of never-ending days emptied of joy. But as much as Covid-19 might be in the background,...

In 2018, a journalist asked Bruce Dickinson how he felt about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The Iron Maiden singer inveighed: “If we’re ever inducted, I will refuse — they won’t bloody be having my corpse in there.”

These days, Pedro Pascal is one of the internet’s favorite stars. In just a few years, the actor has arisen from a breakout star of Narcos to a legitimate leading man. Of course, Game of Thrones is a big part of that ascension as well. But despite his current success, Pascal has no qualms about looking back at his early career, including his guest appearance on NYPD Blue.

You almost need to see Dave Grohl's documentary "Sound City" with headphones on. That's the best way to pick up the nuances the legions of legendary musicians are talking about in this ratty old recording studio where some of the greatest rock records ever made were cut from the 1970s through the '90s.
When Grohl, drummer with Nirvana and later Foo Fighters frontman, and other drummers such as Mick Fleetwood (Fleetwood Mac) talk about the presence, the unique sound that drums carried out of this dump of a studio in Van Nuys, Calif., headphones are the best way to sample that difference, that analog "oomph" that Sound City gave them.
And as Fleetwood, Grohl and the others -- from Tom Petty and Kevin Cronin (Reo Speedwagon) to Rick Springfield and Neil Young -- will tell you, if you get the drums right, the rest just falls into place.
