Yesterday the eagerly awaited line-up for this years Glasgow FrightFest was announced and on taking a glance at the films scheduled to be shown I couldn’t help but feel a little underwhelmed.
As a fan of both FrightFest events, I tend to find myself enjoying the trip to Glasgow more as the film-loverin me likes being able to enjoy the “movie” experience rather than the pomp and circumstance of the festival experience which seems to have taken over the London event as it has grown bigger each year. For me Glasgow’s event is also usually the beginning of my “event” calendar, kicking off my filmic year in style. But it looks like this year may be a little different… I just can’t get excited for this year’s Glasgow line-up.
