Director: Bruce Koehler.
Writer: Jacqueline Druga.
Cast: Bail Natalie, Norm Wash and Bryan Koehler.
19 Doors is like one of those early Stephen King tales where it tries to go for developing the mood first and creating the frights second. The small community feel certainly does exist within this film. But when Grace Mitchell (Bail Natalie) decides to settle in at a hundred year old hotel to conduct some on-site research for a screenplay, she has to contend with the locals and the establishment's sordid past. The list includes a possible miner forty-niner, a dapper priest and two etheric young girls.
The frights are low caliber and the movie does not rise above the potential that it sets itself up for. When Mitchell starts to finally look around at the old Lyndora Hotel, a few revelations are made. She learns that it is still being used as a brothel, but was...

River of Darkness? More like River of Caca!
A low-rent version of pretty much whatever supernatural revenge movie you can think of. Actually, low-rent is a compliment that this movie doesn’t even deserve. The dogs left the room while I was watching this movie. I’m trying to warn you.
What is it about? I’ll try to tell you, because it was touch and go for a little while. First, there’s a girl alone in the snow, talking about how she had to leave college even though she didn’t kill anybody.
Next, grisly murders begin in the sleepy little fishing town of Cedar Springs, and the sheriff is looking for answers. In the midst of all this, we learn that the locals have no respect for the law, seeing as how he was elected over another wrestler.

Kurt Angle as the leader of an evil pagan cult! Tom Savini as a hard-nosed sheriff! Psycho Sid Vicious as an asskicker in a muscle car! Throw in Maniac Cop Robert Z'Dar, a few more pro wrestling stars, and more Druids than an Undertaker ring entrance; and you get the recipe for Bruce Koehler's Death From Above.
An ancient Druid demon has returned to claim his prize... to reign over the world through one thousand years of darkness. The last time Druid-Demon Thule (Kurt Angle) walked the earth was during the Dark Ages. Now after one thousand years, he has returned from beyond to assemble his pagan monk worshippers and to wreak havoc on the natural world. Gunnar Halgrim (Tna Wrestling's James Storm), an ordinary blue-collar steelworker, is plagued by disturbing nightmares and discovers through a clairvoyant gypsy that his ancestral bloodline and a family heirloom place him in...

"The Resident" (2011)
Directed by Antti Jokinen
Released by Image Entertainment
This actually isn't the first time Hilary Swank has seen one of her films go direct to DVD after the films "Red Dust" and "Birds of America" suffered the same fate, but surely there was more riding on this horror film from the resurgent Hammer Films about a recently separated doctor who learns her Brooklyn loft isn't quite as wonderful as she thought it would be. "Secretary" screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson co-wrote this film, which co-stars Christopher Lee, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Lee Pace.
"The Mikado" (1939)
Directed by Victor Schertzinger
Released by Criterion Collection
"Topsy-Turvy" (1999)
Directed by Mike Leigh
Released by Criterion Collection
Sold separately, Criterion is making no secret of trying to appeal to Gilbert and Sullivan fanatics with special editions of "The Mikado," a straight-up adaptation of the musical duo's most famous opera, and Mike Leigh's "Topsy-Turvy,...

With Cannes in full swing, production companies are out touting their films like Spotlight Pictures who have whipped up this promo for River of Darkness , a horror film starring Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and Psycho Sid Vicious. The typo-ridden plot synopsis below ("viscous" instead of "vicious") gives you the story crunch and provides a few images from writer-director Bruce Koehler's indie flick. You can watch some behind-the-scenes footage in our previous news item here .

Genre filmmaker/actor Alan Rowe Kelly got in touch with the news that River Of Darkness, a horror feature he co-stars in, has wrapped production, and sent along a few exclusive pics from the movie (check ’em out below). The cast is headed by pro wrestlers Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash, Psycho Sid Vicious and Ray Lloyd (a.k.a. Glacier).
Angle stars as Will Logan (seen in the first two photos with Kelly as crazy Mary Rutledge), the sheriff of a small river town who does battle with the Jacobs brothers (played by Nash, Vicious and The Mothman Prophecies’ Bill Laing), a trio of long-executed squatters who have returned from the grave to avenge themselves against the village. Bruce Koehler, whose serial-killer flick End Game (also starring Angle) hits DVD from First Look December 1, scripted and directed, and Bill Hinzman from the original Night Of The Living Dead (third photo...

This sounds like the cage match of the century; Alan Rowe Kelly versus Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and Psycho Sid Vicious in River of Darkness. Filmmaker Bruce Koehler's new supernatural thriller stars Angle as a small town sheriff "battling a trio of brothers (Nash, Sid and Bill Laing) lynched long ago who are back from the grave looking to settle old scores." Alan Rowe Kelly plays Mary Rutledge. Below is a video of the three brothers getting their zombie makeup applied. I should note that Koehler did tell Dread Central that what you see is only the half finished product.

Wrestlers Kurt Angle, Kevin Nash and Psycho Sid Vicious mix is up with the likes of Bill Hinzman ( Night of the Living Dead ) and Alan Rowe Kelly in the new indie horror flick River of Darkness . Writer-director Bruce Koehler's indie effort finds Angle playing Will Logan, a sheriff protecting his town from the resurrected Jacobs brothers (Nash, Sid and Bill Laing), siblings who were lynched long ago and are back to seek revenge from beyond the grave. Behind-the-scenes video of the "brothers" in the make-up trailer surfaced. View is below. Koehler's credits include End Game and 19 Doors . Angle's been a busy fella. Earlier this year he was in front of the camera on Dead of Night with Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington.

Earlier this month I brought you first word about River of Darkness, a new supernatural thriller starring pro wrestler Kurt Angle as a small town sheriff battling a trio of brothers lynched long ago who are back from the grave looking to settle old scores. The brothers are portrayed by pro wrestlers Kevin Nash, Psycho Sid Vicious, and Bill Laing, the Mothman of The Mothman Prophecies. Seem Psycho Sid had a camera on set and YouTubed the first video of the three brothers in zombie make-up.
Filmmaker Bruce Koehler has been trying to keep the look of the three villains in their zombie form a secret, but since Sid let the cat out of the bag... Koehler did say that what we see in the clip is only the make-up at the half-complete stage and not the finished look. Thank goodness for that. Otherwise, this movie would have Kurt Angle...

The December DVD release of End Game sees the continuation of the grand tradition of casting pro wrestlers and reality television contestants in starring film roles. Olympic gold medal winning amateur wrestler turned professional wrestler Kurt Angle stars as a psycho-sexual serial killer stalking a stripper played by "Survivor: Amazon" winner Jenna Morasca. I can assure you it is every bit as good as it sounds.
Quite a run for pro wrestlers in genre films of late. Last month brought us the horror comedy Dark Rising with WWE's Christian and this month will see the release of Albino Farm co-starring WWE's Chris Jericho. Now Tna's Kurt Angle joins the fray as a master of disguise serial killer stalking a stripper while playing mind games against the cop hot on his trail.
I scored perhaps the first review of director Bruce Koehler's End Game and let me tell you it...

With the release of Bruce Koehler's slasher featuring Tna Superstar Kurt Angle, all sorts of things are popping up, including a new teaser and website for the film, which is entitled End Game.
Directed, photographed, and edited by Bruce Koehler, North Shore Pictures' End Game stars former gold medal Olympian, ex-wwe wrestler turned current Tna wrestler Kurt Angle as Brad Mayfield, a psychopathic sexual serial killer with a penchant for killing "living dolls". Mayfield also takes pleasure in tormenting the ill-tempered cop on his case, going so far as to begin targeting the detective's increasingly estranged wife and their special needs daughter.

Oh, it's true! It's damn true! Someone really made a serial killer movie that has Olympic gold medal winning amateur wrestler turned world champion professional wrestler Kurt Angle as stalking a sexy ex-Survivor contestant and it's title is End Game.
