Married by Mistake follows Riley (Bennet) who, after learning that her dream job has fallen through, has a drunken night out with her best friend Nate… (Penner) only to find themselves the next morning in Las Vegas and married. With no job prospects on the horizon, Riley takes Nate up on his offer to move back to his hometown in Tennessee to help rescue his family’s business. Riley’s determination to make a name for herself in the company is complicated by the arrival of Nate’s ex-girlfriend and his attractive older brother. It’s taken 24 years, but we’re finally getting a new live-action Mortal Kombat movie. The R-rated reboot is set to come out in April, but outside of some casting news, a few recent stills, and a very brief appearance in a HBO Max ad, and some character posters, Warner Bros. has kept a lid on the movie.
Fortunately, we finally have a trailer to dissect, and it’s quite the ride. Action-packed, dark as hell, and seemingly very faithful to the original games, the Simon McQuoid-directed movie seems on the right track..

Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe looks to bring more new faces into the picture than we’ve seen for a long time, with The Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings marking the first time in a decade that two new franchises have been launched in the same year. Not to mention all the characters that are set to be introduced in the Disney Plus shows.
It isn’t exactly a clean slate, but the next few years nonetheless mark a brave new dawn for the McU, with Kevin Feige keen to push forward and expand the scope of the movies when it could have been all too easy to simply rest on their laurels and keep churning out formulaic sequels that are guaranteed to be box office hits.
We’ve already reported that Nick Fury’s time as the man behind the Avengers could be drawing to a close,...

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is coming to a close, but it may not be the end for one of its major players. And that’s because actress Chloe Bennet, who plays Quake on the hit ABC show, is reportedly being eyed for the rumored S.W.O.R.D. series coming to Disney+.
The McU is expanding in a big way, and a lot of that has to do with the fledgling streaming service Disney+. Shows like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki have fans rushing to their devices to click subscribe. And there are a whole lot more where those came from as well.
One show that’s been speculated but not confirmed though is a series revolving around the Sentinet World Observation and Response Department, also known as S.W.O.R.D. All the signs point to the organization popping up in the McU sooner rather than later,...
