Jane Goldman is bringing some Kick-Ass style to the script for X-Men: First Class, which is set to hit cinemas in June 3, 2011.
The screenwriter's husband, TV and radio presenter Jonathan Ross, revealed the news on his Twitter page.
The mutant prequel is being directed by Matthew Vaughn, with whom Jane (pictured) previously collaborated on Stardust and Kick-Ass. She was also a producer on the latter.
Ross wrote: "The wife is away writing X-Men 4 so I am off to bed with little Sweeney alone. He will keep my feet warm and my spirits high."
In a further tweet, he clarified: "Also, for those who need to know, my wife Is currently writing X-Men: First Class. It's just referred to as X-Men 4 around the house..."
He later added: "I am afraid I better not answer any more queries re X-Men: First Class for fear of spoilers and also possible divorce. Thank you.
