- Never saw herself as a filmmaker. It was more her brother that wanted to be a film director when they were growing up. She wanted to instead be a musician, but when both Shannon and her brother Patrick were in high school/ early college they switched roles and Patrick became the musician, and Shannon became the filmmaker.
- Attended The Colorado Film School from 2006-2008.
- Studied musical theatre at Coffeyville Community College in 2003-2006 before becoming an editor.
- Studied Visual Effects and Animation at the Met Film School in London from 2010 - 2011.
- Was nominated for an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship in her portrayal of "Tally" in the stage play "The Color of Slumber" by Mark Frank.
- Worked at MPC (Moving Picture Company) in London as a VFX promotional editor, creating reels for major Hollywood films showing the before and after of complex VFX shots.
- Worked at Framestore in London in 2014 as a VFX editor and worked on commercials for Bulmers, Coors Light, Snickers, Bacardi, and Stroke awareness.
- Owns and operates Shenanigen Films LTD which specializes in film trailers.
- Her singing vocal range is second soprano to alto.
- Worked closely with VFX Supervisor George Murphy on the film Murder on the Orient Express (2017) assembling footage that would later be used on set during production that was projected on giant LCD screens to give the impression of real windows.
- Works at DNEG TV as a VFX Editor on The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (2019).
