Technically a sequel to 2022’s Remember Me, from this film’s co-writer Christopher Jolley, Remember Me 2: Forget Me Not sees a man, Joe, awake from a nightmare to discover he is in hospital, paralysed and has lost his memory. A Doctor explains he was in an accident and that his body is shutting down, so much so that without a kidney transplant he will die.
Only this doesn’t feel like a hospital, the staff all act strange, seemingly reading from a script and getting perplexed when they don’t have the answers to the questions Joe asks. We’ve previously shared the news that ITN Studios, the company that brought us Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is working with producer/director Louisa Warren on two fractured fairy tale horror movies: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre. You can check them out at the bottom of this article.
Coming our way from ChampDog Films and filming in Scotland, Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre was scripted by Jasmine Ebony Thomas and tells the following story: The beautiful Princess Thalia is thrown to ruins after her father’s mysterious death. Last month, we shared the news that ITN Studios, the company that brought us Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, is teaming with producer/director Louisa Warren on two fractured fairy tale horror movies: Cinderella’s Curse and Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre. Now Variety and our friends at Bloody Disgusting have gotten their hands on some images that offer a preview of Cinderella’s Curse, and you can check them out at the bottom of this article. One of those images even gives the first look at the film’s “cunning, cruel, and deadly” version of the Fairy Godmother!
Coming our way from ChampDog Films, Cinderella’s Curse was scripted by Harry Boxley. Warren told Bloody Disgusting, “This an incredibly unique spin on the Cinderella we all love and know. There are going to be some truly horrific deaths by her hands. I think the gore hounds are in for a treat in my dark retelling.

ITN Studios, the distributor behind cult micro budget horror “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey,” has released a first look at its upcoming project “Cinderella’s Curse.”
Produced and directed by Louisa Warren, the film stars Kelly Rian Sanson, Chrissie Wunna and Danielle Scott.
Harry Boxley (“Mary Had A Little Lamb”) wrote the screenplay.
“Cinderella’s Curse” is a spine-chilling twist on the familiar fairytale.
It’s already started shooting in the U.K. and the first images show Sanson with classic blonde ringlets covered in sweat, cuts and grime. In another image, a blonde woman clad in a white mask is covered in blood and appears to be holding a knife.
The third image shows Sanson looking on at something in horror.

Cannibal Cabin, formerly Cannibal Lake, opens in 2002 with a trio of vacationers, one of whom is very pregnant, planning to spend a weekend jet skiing at a lake next to what looks like an abandoned scrap yard. Instead, they end up meeting a nasty end at the hands of a bunch of the kind of masked cannibals that tend to inhabit places like this.
From there we move to the present day where a group of friends including Matt, Jonah, and Chris are heading to a music festival they heard about from Faye whom Jen met at another festival while peeing behind a bush.
If this sounds familiar it’s probably because it is. They set off, bickering all the way only to find the shortcut Faye told them about leads to a closed road.

Natasha Henstridge of the first two Species movies and John Carpenter’s Ghosts of Mars, among other credits, has signed on to star in Cinderella’s Revenge, which gives the classic fairy tale a horror twist. Filming is already underway in the UK, with Andy Edwards (Zombie Spring Breakers) directing for Sobini Films.
Starring Lauren Staerck (Curse of Jack Frost) as Cinderella, this take on the fairy tale will show us what happens when Cinderella’s wicked stepsisters and stepmother push her too far, leading her to swap her glass slippers in pursuit of blood-soaked vengeance with the help of her Fairy Godmother.
My immediate assumption was that Henstridge would be playing the wicked stepmother, but she’s actually taking on the role of the Fairy Godmother.

Producers/directors Louisa Warren and Scott Jeffrey have worked together multiple times, crafting films about creepy mermaids, scarecrows, and dolls. A horror retelling of Sleeping Beauty, the film Sleeping Beauty’s Massacre is on the way from ChampDog Films, with shooting set to kick off this August in the UK.

The idea of retelling placid and gentle children's fairy tales in a bloody, horror milieu is hardly new. Think of a fairy tale or beloved children's classic, and odds are good that someone has already transformed it into a horror movie. Off the top of my head: Neil Jordan made a horror movie out of Little Red Riding Hood with "The Company of Wolves" in 1984. Later, in 1996, filmmaker Matthew Bright brought the same story into a scuzzy modern setting with "Freeway." 1997 saw the release of "Snow White: A Tale of Terror" with Sigourney Weaver as the evil queen.
"The Little Mermaid" was transformed into an awesome 2015 horror musical called "The Lure." Pinocchio starred in "Pinocchio's Revenge." The Gingerbread Man was transformed into "The Gingerdead Man". A quick stroll through the spider-webbed hallways of Tubi might reveal titles like "The Curse of Sleeping Beauty," 1995's "Rumplestiltskin," and multiple films called "The Tooth Fairy.

"None of you seem concerned." "What is wrong with you people?!" Lionsgate has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Cannibal Cabin, from an indie genre filmmaker named Louisa Warren. The super low budget horror is "loosely based on real events," mainly telling yet another crazy story of weird cannibal people. As inspired by Texas Chain Saw Massacre and other much better horror from the past. A group of 20 somethings head to a secret rave deep in the valley. When their route is detoured they have no choice but to venture into the unknown. When they come across a derelict aqua park, they soon realize what they thought was their rescue turns out to be the very heart of the Cannibals lair. Starring Mia Lacostena, Richard Summers-Calvert, Harvey Almond, and Jane Buckle. Everything about this looks bad, from the cringe acting to the digital shots to the mediocre bad guys.

Last month, we heard that the slasher Unhinged (not to be confused with the Russell Crowe thriller) was going to be getting a second remake. The film, first released in 1982, received a remake back in 2017 that was produced by Scott Jeffrey, Rebecca J. Matthews, and Louisa Warren, with Jeffrey also writing the screenplay. Jeffrey, Matthews, and Warren are also behind the new remake – and it has now been revealed that the third version of Unhinged finished filming earlier this month!
Matthew B.C. (H.P. Lovecraft’s Monster Portal) directed the new Unhinged from a screenplay by Harry Boxley (Mary Had a Little Lamb). The film follows four young women who, after a traumatic confrontation with a stalker, are forced to take refuge with an eccentric older man and his bed-bound wife; a couple who quickly showcase troubling behaviors.
Ella Starbuck (Witch), Jase Rivers (Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey), and Toby Wynn-Davies (Dogged) star.

Directed by Don Gronquist, the 1982 horror movie Unhinged is one of 72 films deemed “Video Nasties” back in the 1980s, and Bd has learned today that a new remake is in the works.
Proportion Productions and ChampDog Films are behind the Unhinged remake, with Scott Jeffrey (Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey) on board to produce the new take.
Rebecca J. Matthews and Louisa Warren are also producing the new movie.
The film is set to star Ella Starbuck (Crocodile Vengeance), Betsy-Blue English (Sky Kraken), Sian Altman (Curse of Humpty Dumpty), Toby Wynn-Davies (Area 51 Incident) and Chloe Karr.
Scott Jeffrey tells Bloody Disgusting that the Unhinged remake will be a “very close remake” to the original 1982 Video Nasty, “but sprinkling in a modern setting.”
He also teases, “It will be an incredibly suspenseful and dark film with a shocking twist.”
A director is yet to be attached. Stay tuned for more as we learn it.

Doctor Carver 2, Conjuring the Plastic Surgeon 2, Demonic Plastic Surgeon M.D., can we make our mind up just what this film is actually called please? Yes, like the original movie, it seems our sequel is going by numerous mockers depending on where you look! No matter though, the plot is still the same whatever the name – at an elderly people’s home, the demonic plastic surgeon has been summoned once again, to give its elderly residents makeovers they won’t forget… Or live to enjoy!

Seemingly filmed back-to-back with the fourth film in the series, a film that rebooted the franchise, redesigned the titular killer tooth fairy and changed all the lore we’d previously learnt, Tooth Fairy: Drill to Kill is set two years after the horrifying events of That school trip where students and teachers were brutally slain and follows Sammy, the surviving teacher, who rejoins her colleagues back at work. However, after hearing some odd noises around the classrooms Sammy feels she is being watched. It’s not until she hears the familiar knocking at the door does she realize her nightmare has not ended.

The killer tooth fairy is back! Yes after seemingly being killed three times in the previous three movies, the titular fairy-tale turned monster is back on the screen in Tooth Fairy: Queen of Pain, or Tooth Fairy 4: Reborn – to give the film its on-screen title. Quick question though… Why do I keep subjecting myself to this franchise?!
I’ll tell you why. Because, remarkably, this franchise has played out in the opposite way to most horror franchises. Whereas we typically quote the “law of diminishing returns” when it comes to horror sequels, Louisa Warren’s Tooth Fairy series is the opposite – each film has got progressively better than the last, with part three really embracing the gore and grue and delivering the best film in the franchise so far.

Judging by his latest film, The Haunting of Hythe House, writer/director/producer Steven M. Smith is a little upset that his films haven’t been getting good reviews. And while I’m sure making it made him feel better, I have my doubts that it’s the best way to deal with the problem.

We see him watching what looks like scenes from some of the director’s other films and hear what he’s posting about them.

I’m going to sound like a broken record this week with not one but Four Scott Jeffrey film currently on the slate for review. This, Cannibal Troll, is the second of the week and harkens back to the more basic era of Scott Jeffrey’s filmmaking – insomuch that this film is essentially a basic slasher movie retread with a troll as its antagonist rather than a deranged maniac! There’s also, given the use of the word ‘cannibal’ in the title, a nod to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise, with the troll seemingly building a “family” of victims, not killing them – or eating them as the title would suggest – but rather having them around his home, keeping them alive for some (not clearly explained) reason.

Here we go again… Another week another Jagged Edge Productions film… or is it Proportion Productions? These days there’s no real way to distinguish which production company the ever-prolific Scott Jeffrey – who’s churning out films so fast they’re now releasing straight on the internet rather than traditional delivery methods – is going to put out a film under.
From what I can figure out, and I could be totally wrong, it seems Jeffrey works with actresses then, if said actresses have an interest in filmmaking rather than performing, he sets up production companies to work with them. For example: Jeffrey’s name first popped up alongside Louisa Warren and the production company Champdog Films; then came Rebecca Matthews and Proportion Productions...

I’ve often extolled the virtues of Proportion Productions here on Nerdly, however they’re not the only low-budget horror game in town… Britain also has Champ Dog Films. Sometimes collaborators of the aforementioned company (on films like the Unhinged remake), Champ Dog Films is led – for the most part – by actress turned producer/director Louisa Warren, whose output has varied wildly in terms of quality and storytelling… for every Curse of the Scarecrow there’s a Tooth Fairy (and its sequel). Thankfully The Leprechaun’s Game (aka Vengeance of the Leprechaun) falls in the former camp. Just. Though the film is not without its issues, mainly down to relying on the tropes of leprechaun lore.

Now, listen… I’m very forgiving when it comes to horror as a genre of film. I’m open-minded, especially when it comes to the low-budget end of things, and while I’ve seen some unforgivable dross over the years, I’ve also been witness to some low-budget diamonds that managed to make something extremely entertaining with a very small, or even… at times, non-existent budget. Tooth Fairy (previously called Toof), is a low-budget horror film that introduces us to the legend of an evil tooth fairy whom rips out teeth. A simple concept, and one that could, on paper, lead to something pretty fun. So, how does this fair?

As far as festive holiday movies go, it’s fair to say that Pagan Warrior isn’t quite Home Alone. And despite the period setting, it’s a few leaps from A Christmas Carol as well.
Set amid the lush greenery of the English countryside, the historic horror title sees a savage gang of Vikings invade a Saxon castle, murdering all in sight. However, a sole survivor, with the aid of some witches, summons a demonic spirit to exact revenge.

We’ve covered quite a few films from UK production outfit Proportion Productions, who have become almost factory-like in their film output in recent years, with films like the Unhinged remake, Fox Trap, House on Elm Lake, Darker Shade of Elise, Mother Krampus, Suicide Club, Curse of the Scarecrow and The Bad Nun to name a few… Pet Graveyard is the latest film in their ouevre and no, before you ask, this is Not a riff on Pet Sematary.
Going back to the title for a minute, it seems such a shame that the companies recent output has been lumbered with these “mockbuster”-like titles and marketing (I’m looking at you Mother Krampus and The Bad...

Tagline: "Death is Watching." A few details are emerging from the cornfields for Curse of the Scarecrow. In the vein of Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981), Husk (2011), Sheldon Wilson's Scarecrow (2013) - Curse of the Scarecrow takes place after a tragedy. June and Carl have seen their parents killed, at an early age. Determined to find their killers, June returns to her family home, only to find the grounds haunted by a murderous scarecrow. This title, from director Louisa Warren, stars: Kate Lister and Cassandra French. Several stills and an early concept poster are hosted here. There are two synopses for the film. The shorter one mentions that June and Carl return to a family farm, twenty years after their parent's death. Not long after, Carl mysteriously commits suicide. In the longer synopsis, the scarecrow is waging a cornstalk filled war, on an entire town. The crows fly in this film!

Last month we brought you news on the forthcoming remake of the former video nasty Unhinged, which UK distributor 88 Films, along with ITN Distribution have picked up for a release in the fourth quarter of this year on DVD and VOD. The film comes from Proportion Productions, a new UK filmmaking shingle who have been churning out films such as Fox Trap, 12 Deaths of Christmas and The House on Elm Lake – all of which are due for DVD and VOD release worldwide sometime in October/November – with Unhinged marking the directorial feature debut of Dan Allen, who won the ‘Best Young Filmmaker’ award at the Coca-Cola Cinemagic Film Festival back in 2009.
Unhinged stars a bevy of British talent, including Kate Lister, Lucy Jane-Quinlan, Becky Fletcher, Louisa Warren – may of whom have appeared in other Proportion Productions output.
The official synopsis:
Four American girls travel through the backlands in North England travelling to a funeral.

Unhinged was one of many movies in the early 80s to find itself tangled up in the video nasties scandal here in the UK… However, unlike a lot of its “nasty” brethren, the film was less controversial, actualy playing more ike a traditional slasher movie than a gore-filled monstrosity. Which is why the film has since been re-released, without cuts; as most recently as 2014, when then-burgeoning UK distributor 88 Films put out the film on DVD.
Now I mention 88 Films as they, along with ITN Distribution have picked up a Remake, yes remake, of the former video nasty for a release on DVD and VOD this year. But wait, I hear you ask, who’s behind this remake? Well…
