A coroner has concluded former The Bachelorette contestant Julien Hug took his own life.
The 35 year old's body was found at the side of a California freeway on Wednesday, and officials have now ruled Hug died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His father Bertrand Hug has opened about his son's death, telling UsMagazine.com, "He took his own life. He left a letter for me, his mom, co-workers, his girlfriend at the time. He wanted us to know it was his only way out. He was depressed and struggling, and nobody knew. He couldn't find his way.
"He was the most beautiful loving person you could ever imagine."
A funeral is to be held on 12 November.
