One of the New York stage's preeminent mask and puppetry designers perhaps most widely known for his "Land Shark" that ate various cast members of Saturday Night Live during the 1970s.
Credited with having launched New York City's Greenwich Village Halloween Parade in 1974.
His masks and puppets were featured in multiple Off Broadway productions along with the New York Shakespeare Festival, the Joffrey Ballet and the Metropolitan Opera.
Was a longtime artist-in-residence at New York City's Cathedral of St. John the Divine.
