Usher focused on new music and not his legal woes, heading to the music studio on Wednesday night.
The 38-year-old joined producer Jermaine Dupri at a recording studio in Hallandale Beach, Florida, and happily smiled way for a snap on social media.
The “Yeah!” singer and the producer previously created two of Usher’s biggest hits, “Confessions Part 1” and “2”, about a man who cheated on his partner.
Dupri posted the photograph of himself leaping in the air as Usher sat on a couch laughing.

"It is an honor to introduce the future of R&B ... his name is Chris Brown!" That's the prophecy producer Bryan-Michael Cox laid out almost a decade ago now, in his spoken intro to a smooth, Baby-Casanova joint called "Winner" off Brown's 2005 self-titled debut. On a very literal level, it came true: It is now 2014 and Brown is still making records; his sixth, X, is out today. But throughout the past decade — an occasionally wildly innovative one in pop, hip-hop, and R&B — Brown's music has stayed so stubbornly risk-averse that to think someone once considered Chris Brown "the future" of anything now seems as laughable as a Y2K shelter. At best, Brown has been an accurate barometer of the genre's present — his discography provides a clean arc from its poppy, Usher-reigned Jive Records era to its post-808s Auto-Tune experimentation to its current obsession with trap-inflected,...

Check out this great trailer for a 30-minute fan-made short film called Star Wars Downunder, and it is sure brings the entertainment! It's fun, exciting, and the lightsaber boomerangs are a great touch.
The film "finally answers the age old question, that has confounded many a film buff before: What would happen if you crossed Star Wars with an Australian beer commercial. Answer? Star Wars Downunder: an epic tale of the good, the bad and the thirsty. Directed by Michael Cox and written by Bryan Meakin and Michael Cox, Star Wars Downunder, is half an hour of action, special effects and lovable Aussie larakins."
I can't wait to see how the entire short plays out, but it works great as a trailer. Check it out!

Mariah Carey isn't a diva who's often known for her restraint, but that's exactly the trait she's displaying with the preview for her upcoming new song.
Carey debuted a vague preview video for "#Beautiful," a single slated for full debut on May 6. It's the first track from what will be her 14th studio album, which has yet to receive a release date. The preview doesn't offer much in the way of what the song will actually sound like, aside from a few indistinct beats and the words "The New Era Begins."
"#Beautiful" features Miguel, who told MTV News on Wednesday while attending the Time 100 gala that he didn't know "why fans would put that together," referring to the rumors he and Carey were collaborating. When asked what the duet would sound like were it real, he described it as, fittingly, "beautiful." We see what you did there, Miguel.

The songstress has been on the scene this week for the highly-emotional preliminary hearing on an involuntary manslaughter charge against Michael Jackson’s physician, Dr. Conrad Murray. There’s also the launch of her “True You” book dealing with diet, exercise, self-image and self-esteem to contend with. The tome hits stores Feb. 8.

It seems that the previously-premiered video of "Oh Santa!" which features animated Mariah Carey is for viral promotion only since the actual music video will not come out until Tuesday night, November 2. Ahead of the premiere, a snippet is brought forward to tease the "very festive" clip.
Unlike the viral video which simply compiles old and new footage of Mariah hanging around with her pals and other people close to her, this upcoming video is all brand new although captured in a retro theme. The very pregnant singer is seen fronting a Christmas performance ensemble.
"Oh Santa!" is one of the new songs in her upcoming holiday album "Merry Christmas II You" which is due November 2. Serving as the lead single, it comes from production hands of duo Jermaine Dupri and Bryan-Michael Cox.

R&B singer Chris Brown bears no grudge against Usher after plans for a joint tour fell apart over the summer and still hopes to "work something out" for the future. Record producer Bryan-Michael Cox, who created hits for both stars, made a premature announcement in August when he took to the internet and claimed the pair was teaming up for a new trek.
The "Kiss Kiss" hitmaker fueled the rumors by asking fans' opinions about a possible double tour on his Twitter.com blog, only for Usher's management to shoot down the reports, insisting, "There are no plans for Usher and Brown to tour together." Brown has now told of his disappointment about the cancellation in an interview with New York's Hot 97 radio station, but he is adamant there was no fall out between the singers.
He tells DJ Angie Martinez, "We kinda had different views on the tour - no beef.

Both Brown and Usher then dropped a hint about the possible jaunt on Twitter. Brown wrote, "What would you guys say if me and usher went on tour?" Usher, meanwhile, asked his follower, "If you could see Usher perform live with anyone - who would it be?"
In the meantime, Chris Brown is preparing for the premiere of his "Matrix (12 Strands)" music video.

With their top-notch dance moves and tunes that make the ladies swoon, an Usher and Chris Brown co-headlining tour sounds like an idea made in R&B heaven. And according to producer Bryan-Michael Cox, it may just happen. This news comes just weeks after Breezy's surprise onstage appearance during Usher's set at Reggae SumFest.
Speculation began when Cox revealed during Jermaine Dupri's "Living the Life" YouTube show that the singers are planning to tour together. "Usher and the boy Chris Brown are going on tour, y'all know that, right?" Cox said. Dupri immediately replied, "They might not know that." It's a big day in the pop world, as Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 finally hits the streets. Even though the Canadian singer is only 16 years old (having just celebrated his birthday at the beginning of the month), he's still been a master at building buzz for his new album. He has been steadily dropping singles and videos, unleashing hot tracks like "Baby" (his Ludacris-assisted hit single), "U Smile" (a smooth Motown throwback) and "Eenie Meenie" (a tag-team with Sean Kingston).
But My World 2.0 has seven more songs, including the house-tastic "Somebody to Love," the swaggeriffic "Runaway Love" and the Jessica Jarrell duet "Overboard." It's a surprisingly varied album, full of top-shelf production work care of The-Dream (Rihanna's "Umbrella"), Tricky Stewart (Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)"), Jerry "Wonda" Duplessis (The Fugees), Benny Blanco and Bryan-Michael Cox (Usher's "Confessions, Pt. 2").

Usher is gearing up for the release of Raymond v. Raymond next month, but before the crooner's album drops, he'll be front and center during NBA All-Star Weekend in Atlanta.
The singer is set to debut a special video for his track "More" on February 14. The song is already featured in NBA promos, but Usher will put on a full performance of the number during the festivities. Usher sings about a man who cheats on his spouse in the song "Fooling Around," a record apparently meant for his upcoming LP Raymond vs. Raymond — and producer Jermaine Dupri is not happy about the track leaking.
"Some kinda way my Usher record 'Fooling Around' got leaked," Dupri fumed via his Web site. Writing in all caps, the legendary producer vented about the song hitting way too early and without his consent. "If you follow me on Twitter you know I don't condone leaking records. So basically I been down about it all night ..."
Dupri did say that the one positive about the record hitting the Internet is that he's heard nothing but good things about the tune, on which he collaborated with songwriter/producer Bryan-Michael Cox.
