Quartermain Media, a digital content company specializing in branded works created alongside African American influencers, has partnered up with SAG-aftra to partake in the labor union’s recently-inked Commercials Contracts initiative.
SAG-aftra, a labor union that represents roughly 160,000 entertainment and media professionals, announced its new Commercials Contract in May -- an overarching agreement with the ad industry at large that guarantees performers in ads fair wages, safe working conditions, and access to health insurance and retirement benefits.
The partnership with Quartermain means that all of the company's digital series and branded content productions will offer these benefits. Quartermain is a full service studio that seeks to connect advertisers with top African American influencers and filmmakers, including YouTube stalwart Tre Melvin (pictured above), Mobolaji Olambiwonnu, Steven Butler, Dikega Hadnot, and more.

According to reports, Sony is moving forward on a new stand-alone feature film, showcasing a popular Marvel Comics superhero from the 'Spider-Man' universe:
Sony are moving ahead on a feature film starring Marvel Comics character 'Silver Sable', aka 'Silver Sablinova', an anti-hero mercenary, hunter of war criminals, leader of the 'Wild Pack' and 'CEO' of 'Silver Sable International'.
Although sometimes a legitimate mercenary, her methods and motives have sometimes brought her into conflict with other superheroes including 'Spider-Man'.
Created by writer Tom DeFalco and illustrator Ron Frenz, Silver Sable debuted in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #265 (June 1985), followed by the series "Silver Sable & The Wild Pack" (June 1992) written by Gregory Wright, penciled by Steven Butler and a limited 4-issue series "Sable and Fortune".
Silver Sable is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, skilled in various martial arts, including the ability to take out 'Captain America'.
She wears synthetic stretch fabric lined with Kevlar throughout the torso.
