It turns out money does actually talk. Chinese football has undergone a rather frightening revolution in the last few months. With the government seemingly fully supportive of clubs spending more money as they pour funds into Chinese grassroots football, some huge names have arrived in Asia.
We’ve had the likes of Jackson Martinez, Gervinho, Alex Teixeira and Ramires all switching Champions League football for a taste of life in the Chinese Super League. There was also rumours circulating that Chelsea were forced to turn down a crazy offer for their Brazilian playmaker Oscar.
If you’re thinking that big names only began to fly into China within that recent time period, however, you’d be horribly wrong. There are some players that made the move across continents before it became the seemingly trendy thing in the January transfer window of 2016. It really is surprising just how many...

Hot on the tail of news that Guus Hiddink is closing in on the signing of Ukrainian based Brazilian attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira for £30m, the new Chelsea boss is now being linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The London Evening Standard are reporting that Chelsea are considering rivalling both Man City and Juventus for the signature of the Spanish midfielder who has struggled to make an impact in Madrid since joining back in 2013. He’s made just 9 starts this term, and while the Standard say Madrid are “unwilling to sell this month”, the player is concerned about losing his place in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad.
Whether he would command the same sort of fee as he did when he moved from Malaga to Madrid two years ago remains to be seen, but Chelsea are already making a statement of intent in their pursuit of Teixeira.

Alex Teixeira has verbally agreed a £30 million move to Chelsea, according to reports in the Daily Express.
The Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder’s representatives have reportedly been in talks this week over a five-year deal that would see Teixeira become Carlo Ancelotti’s first acquisition of his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have been chasing 25-year-old Teixeira for the majority of 2015 and are determined to steam forward with the move in the wake of former manager Jose Mourinho’s departure.
Despite scoring an incredible 26 goals in 26 games in Ukraine this campaign, the Brazilian international is not an out-and-out forward, though will clearly bring firepower to Chelsea’s forward line with Diego Costa and Falcao under-performing and Loic Remy not being trusted under Mourinho’s reign.
