Oriel Pe'er is a New York-based filmmaker, photographer, and producer. His work has been published in TIME Magazine, The Guardian, Pitchfork, Nowness, Timeout, and The Washington Post. Oriel was born and raised in Jerusalem, and moved to New York City at an early age to study filmmaking and theater. In 2012, he became the first resident filmmaker and multimedia artist for the world-renowned dance company Pilobolus and in 2016 he started working on his debut feature documentary, "A Deeper Love: The Story of Miss Peppermint" about the life and career of trans performer and LGBTQ+ activist Miss Peppermint. The film features Laverne Cox ("Orange is The New Black"), MJ Rodriguez ("Pose") and Bob The Drag Queen ("Rupaul's Drag Race").
