The final round of judges for Screen’s revamped The Big Screen Awards has been unveiled.
Featured in the final batch of judges are producer, consultant and former president of international marketing at 20th Century Fox Kieran Breen; Netflix’s director of distribution for Emea Hamish Moseley; and Anton’s vice president for international marketing and publicity, Karina Gechtman.
Also joining the judging panel are Warp Films’ joint CEO Mark Herbert, and distribution and marketing consultant at IHeartCinema, Deborah Sheppard.

Glasgow Film Fest Opener & Closer
The 2021 Glasgow Film Festival is partnering with 22 cinemas across the UK to reach audiences that are not unable to travel to the event due to the country’s tiered lockdown system. The fest will open on February 24 with the UK premiere of Lee Isaac Chung’s Minari and will close on March 7 with the UK premiere of Suzanne Lindon’s Spring Blossom. Each of the 22 partner cinemas will show both the opening and closing titles.
Cambridge Plans ‘Genre Neutral’ Anthology
London-based Cambridge Picture Company, which has credits including Loving Vincent, has optioned a collection of nine supernatural short stories from Mike Carey and is planning to create an anthology of one-off televisual dramas. Carey previously adapted his own novel for the screenplay of The Girl With All the Gifts. The anthology will be developed under the title Genre Neutral. It will take classic movie genres...

New WarnerMedia France and Benelux, Germany-Austria-Switzerland country manager Iris Knobloch has realigned her leadership teams across Emea.
Olivier Snanoudj, Eric Broet, Caroline Lang, Guillaume Coffin and Gregory Schuber will assume leadership positions for France and Benelux, with Willi Geike, Steffen Schier, Peter Schauerte, Sylvia Rothblum, Matthias Heinze and Tim van Dyk assuming leadership responsibilities for Gas.
Snanoudj and Schier will lead theatrical distribution for the France and Benelux and Gas markets, respectively, while Lang will continue to lead TV distribution for France and French-speaking territories with Rothblum doing the same for Gas and Israel.

Samantha Joly promoted to newly created position.
Samantha Joly has been promoted to the newly created position of marketing and publicity manager at See-Saw Films.
Joly was previously production and marketing executive at the London-based independent production company and has been with See-Saw since 2011. She started her career in documentary television.
The new position will see Joly oversee marketing and publicity for See-Saw’s film and TV productions in the UK, Australia and the Us.
She will work with the company’s distribution partners and handle unit publicity on selected film and TV projects.
