Mc Harvey is what you would call a Jack of all trades, as the former rapper – famed for his work with So Solid Crew – has since turned his head to acting, and following a role in The Big I Am, he returns in George Isaac’s All Things to All Men – and we discussed his role in the movie ahead of its forthcoming release.
Playing the part of criminal Curtis Carter, Mc Harvey – whose real name is Michael Harvey – discusses playing a role that feels somewhat close to home, with the films predominant setting taking place in the same area of London the actor was born. He also discusses his own future, as well as telling us where he feels his heart lies – as a performer who has formed careers for himself in music, acting and even professional football.
All Things to All Met is out in UK cinema today.

The world's earliest colour film footage has been uncovered by this week, after resting in a tin for 110 years. The footage, which was shot by English inventor Edward Raymond Turner, features various test films of colourful objects, including a macaw, a goldfish, and children playing with sunflowers. The Film Stage reports that the film was discovered by Michael Harvey, curator of cinematography at the National Media Museum in Bradford, who worked with experts at the BFI National Archive to transfer the material into digital files. Film historians have regarded Turner's invention, which he collaborated on with entrepreneurs Frederick Marshall Lee and Charles Urban, as a (more)...

British cinematographer's footage of his children, Brighton beach and Hyde Park, pre-date Edwardians' Kinemacolor
There is not much of a plot – goldfish in bowl – but the scene and others from the same rolls of film were revealed on Wednesday as the earliest colour moving images ever made in a discovery that does nothing less than "rewrite film history".
The National Media Museum in Bradford said it had found what it contends are truly historic films from 1901/02, pre-dating what had been thought to be the first successful colour process – Kinemacolor – by eight years.
"We believe this will literally rewrite film history," said the museum's head of collections, Paul Goodman. "I don't think it is an overstatement. These are the world's first colour moving images."

Mc Harvey has said that he has "cleared" his name after producing emails which allegedly proved he was romantically involved with Cheryl Cole. The So Solid Crew star claimed that he had dated the former X Factor judge following her split from husband Ashley Cole. However, this was strongly denied by Cole herself, who took to Twitter to dismiss Harvey's comments. In a statement, Tim Parish - a media lawyer and legal advisor to Now magazine - said: "I was asked to verify the authenticity of the emails between Cheryl Cole and Michael Harvey as a proof of a relationship between the couple. "The emails I was shown dated back to 2010 and were correspondence to and from Cheryl Cole and Michael Harvey and also between Michael Harvey and Cheryl's mother Joan Callaghan." He continued: "The emails give details of her feelings (more)...
