Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that since January, the WWE has been talking to the Sinclair Broadcasting Group, owners of Ring of Honor Wrestling, with the hopes of purchasing that promotion. Talks are said to be in the opening stages and, similar to the conversation the WWE had with Impact Wrestling before Anthem Sports purchased that company, may turn out with no change in ownership.
As a fan of both organizations, I'm conflicted by this news. There are some performers in Ring of Honor who would be amazing in either the WWE or the Nxt brand. Adam Cole for one would be a huge aquisition for the WWE. While rumor has it he's already WWE bound, having him come into the company and acknowledge the work he's created in Ring of Honor would do a lot to establish him for the casual WWE audience.

Table breaks, ladder dives, and acrobatics off the top rope – the action was non-stop across many promotions over the past seven days. Additionally, fan videos from a couple of non-televised live WWE events contributed a few highlighted maneuvers that resulted in legitimate injury.
Two matches boasted more than one entry this week. The Gift of the Gods Ladder Match from Lucha Underground between King Cuerno and Fenix as well as the No Dq match between Jimmy Havoc and Abyss from Tna were difficult contests to pare down to just two or three spots. Put those two bouts on your make-up list if you missed them.

Now that the WWE is in the wake of Night of Champions, the wrestling world has had to come to terms with the fact that Kane is the newest challenger to Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship. While I’ve found the split personality head games of Kane mildly amusing, this is far from the most marquee matchup that could be offered.
A Kane challenge against Seth Rollins might not be the most marquee rivalry WWE can offer but at least Kane has all of his limbs. Looking at Tna, a one-legged man defeated one of their former World Champions. I’m all for a good underdog story, especially when it’s the celebration of a war hero, but something’s off here.
Ring of Honor offered some decent matchups this week, including one by Michael Elgin. The former Roh World Champ is back from the G1 Climax...
