Samantha Bee is staying on tour.
The comedian has extended her Your Favorite Woman: The Joy of Sex Education tour with 17 more dates.
This comes after she completed a 17-city run including sold-out dates at The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, The Newmark Theatre in Portland and NJ’s Victoria Theatre.
The fall leg kicks off at The Bushnell in Hartford, Ct on September 21.
“In third grade, I was the self-appointed teacher of all matters related to baby making and body autonomy to the majority of my confused classmates,” said Bee. “Nothing has changed. I realize that we are all still confused. So now, instead of chasing my audience around a playground, I invite them to a theater to discuss everything that happens to our bodies from puberty to menopause and beyond. It’s a bloody good time.”

Samantha Bee is bringing her late-night comedy to local venues.
The former host of TBS’ “Full Frontal” plans to launch a national stage show in 2023, initially booking 15 dates for “Your Favorite Woman,” which will kick off in the Victoria Theatre in Newark, NJ, on April 7, 2023.
“Many of the best segments we did on ‘Full Frontal’ focused on making complex issues more accessible,” said Bee, in a prepared statement. “And I am called to do that once again. Not sure why. Nothing much is happening in the world of women’s bodily autonomy, so I am taking it upon myself to teach the parts of Sex Ed that should’ve been taught by your gym teacher.”
Bee recently parted ways with TBS after the network ended “Full Frontal” after a seven-season run.
Other late-night comedians have taken to the stage in the past. When Conan O’Brien left NBC’s “Tonight Show,...

Samantha Bee is going on tour.
The former host of Full Frontal is taking her stage show Your Favorite Woman on the road next year.
The tour – Bee’s first – will start in Newark, NJ on April 7, 2023 before taking in 14 other cities.
She said that the “obscene vanity project” will remind people that women are “inherently magical beings despite what six Supreme Court justices and your Instagram feed wants you to believe”.
The tour will be presented under Samantha Bee and Kristen Everman’s production banner, Swimsuit Competition, and produced by Kim Burdges with tour production from Maggie Seidel at M2M Entertainment.
Full Frontal with Samantha Bee ran for seven seasons and was canceled at TBS in July.
“Many of the best segments we did on Full Frontal focused on making complex issues more accessible,” said Bee. “And I am called to do that once again. Not sure why.

Samantha Bee is taking her show on the road. Literally.
Kicking off April 7, the former host of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee will roll out her first national tour, which has her visiting at least 15 cities, including Newark, NJ, where she’ll begin. The stage show, which a press release describes as an “obscene vanity project,” is comically titled, Your Favorite Woman.
As the release notes, the show “promises to remind you women are inherently magical beings despite what six Supreme Court justices and your Instagram feed wants you to believe.” It will feature Bee’s signature comedy, memorable visual aids and “debunked myths that have been drilled into our heads since the dawn of recorded history,” much as her Emmy-winning, TBS late-night show did for seven years before it was abruptly canceled this summer.

Comedian and TV host Samantha Bee has her next project lined up following the cancelation of her TBS show Full Frontal, and she is aiming for a much younger audience. According to Variety, Bee and Kristen Everman’s Swimsuit Competition production company is teaming up with Sinking Ship Entertainment to produce a sketch comedy series for kids. Titled Best Day Ever, the single-camera show is said to have a similar style to more adult-orientated sketch shows, like I Think You Should Leave and Key and Peele, but only featuring adults in supporting roles. The show comes from producer and writer Allana Harkin, who was once part of an all-female comedy troupe with Bee and worked on Full Frontal as a producer, director, and correspondent. No broadcaster is currently attached to the project, but it is expected to be taken out and shopped at the upcoming MIPCOM trade show in Cannes.

Samantha Bee and Kristen Everman’s Swimsuit Competition production company is partnering with Sinking Ship Entertainment to produce a sketch comedy series for kids, Variety has learned exclusively.
Titled “Best Day Ever,” the single-camera show is described as having a style similar to more adult-themed sketch shows like “I Think You Should Leave” and “Key and Peele,” but featuring adults only in supporting roles. The show hails from producer, director, and writer Allana Harkin. The project will be taken out at MIPCOM 2022.
“Eleven year old Samantha Bee just blushed so hard she fell off her banana seat bike,” said Bee. “Also, she would have killed for a show like this.”
“With ‘Best Day Ever,’ we are striving to make a dynamic sketch comedy series that brings kids joy, sparks their curiosity and most importantly makes them laugh,” added J.J. Johnson, partner and executive producer at Sinking Ship Entertainment. “We’re thrilled to partner with Allana,...

Samantha Bee usually crafts pieces of content that are just minutes long, all in the name of crafting segments for her TBS program, “Full Frontal.” Now she’s getting into longform.
Bee has formed a new production company, Swimsuit Competition, that will look to release “narrative and documentary” works. Kristen Everman, a producer who worked on Bee’s 2017 effort to lampoon the White House Correspondents Dinner and on Robin Thede’s recent late-night series for Bet, will work as head of development for the new shingle, which has signed a first-look deal with TBS, the At&T-owned cable network, to develop original content. Everman began her career in entertainment at “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and has worked on series including Hulu’s “Difficult People” and Bravo’s “Odd Mom Out.”

The variety series Emmy race hasn’t always been a boys’ club. But Samantha Bee is bringing balance back to a category that had become way too male-dominated.
“Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” is the first female-fronted series to be nominated in the relatively new Outstanding Variety Talk Series category, which was created in 2015. That’s when the TV Academy split the Outstanding Variety Series category into two: variety talk and variety sketch series.
The first year out, “Inside Amy Schumer” won the variety sketch Emmy, becoming the first female-fronted variety show to win a series Emmy since Tracey Ullman’s “Tracey Takes On” in 1997. But that was also the first time a variety show starring a woman had even been nominated in the variety series field since “Tracey Takes On” in 1999.
