As the 89th Annual Academy Awards approached, it was already clear that this year's "In Memoriam" segment was going to be one of the most heartbreaking in recent memory. This was only further cemented by the untimely death of veteran actor Bill Paxton one day before the ceremony.
Jennifer Aniston came out to present the tribute to those in the movie industry we lost over last 12 months, and got emotional as she tearfully remembered Paxton, whom she called her "friend" and "cherished member of our Hollywood family."

Before The Mary Tyler Moore show debuted in 1970, the character of a young working woman was a rarity on TV. Moore's portrayal of television news producer Mary Richards introduced the image of a competent young career woman whose life wasn't solely defined by her relationship to a man.
Moore died on January 25 at the age of 80.
Her television career began in the 1960s when she played the wife of television writer Rob Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show, which aired on CBS from 1961 to 1966. Her character on that show was very much the traditional TV wife, but her performance was much loved. She won two Emmys for her work on the series.
It was, however, her self-titled series that became her true defining work. Set in Minneapolis, The Mary Tyler Moore Show...

Death is everywhere on television. It rides a pale horse on Sleepy Hollow. It keeps Castle, Bones, and so much of CBS in business. It walks, it sucks, it makes for a nice tenderloin. Occasionally, scripted series will give death the “very special episode” treatment, sometimes to write out a cast member or deal with real-life circumstances, as was the case with Glee’s Oct. 10 farewell to Finn and the actor who played him, the late Cory Monteith. When the great shows have grappled with death as a theme, they have produced some of their most memorable work. “Love’s Labor Lost” on E.

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, here are some queries we are going to throw at you, from shows including Glee, Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl, The Vampire Diaries and The Office!
1 | Who has already placed their order for the Chuck DVD set featuring an extended, 52-minute series finale?
2 | Was there a more satisfying moment on The Good Wife than watching a flustered Wendy Scott-Carr scramble to keep her case against Will from going up in flames? And that was the best episode of the season, right?

James Farentino, best remembered for his roles in the television series The Bold Ones: The Lawyers and Dynasty, died of heart failure earlier today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He was 73. A Brooklyn native (born on Feb. 24, 1938), Farentino made his Broadway debut in the 1961 production of Tennessee Williams' Night of the Iguana, starring Bette Davis, Margaret Leighton, and Patrick O'Neal. The following year, he began guesting on various television series, among them The Defenders, Route 66, and 77 Sunset Strip. Despite a Golden Globe as Most Promising Newcomer – Male for Brian G. Hutton's 1967 comedy The Pad and How to Use It, Farentino's film career was a minor one. He did, however, play one of the leads in a more important comedy that same year, David Lowell Rich's Rosie!, based on a play co-written by Ruth Gordon, and starring Rosalind Russell, Sandra Dee, and Brian Aherne. Additionally,...
