Raymond McCrea Jones is a filmmaker and photographer best known for his
documentary photography work. He was born in Wichita, Kansas and raised
in the South. After studying visual communication at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill he published his first monograph "Out of
Step: Faces of Straight Edge," in 2007.
Ray then worked on staff at The New York Times until 2011 when he relocated back to Atlanta where he currently lives with his wife and two boys. His pictures have been has been published in magazines and newspapers throughout the world.
Ray is represented by Redux Pictures and The Lisa Ekus Group. His second monograph, "Birth of a Warrior," will be published in October 2015 by ForeEdge Books.
