Andrew Bonica

Andrew Bonica, is a multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, and producer who has worked with some of the music and film industry's biggest acts, both at San Diego's largest recording studio, Studio West, as well as in his own studio with his company, Roylee Records. Bonica is originally from Massachusetts and has remained close to his roots by continually furthering his education through his home state's prestigious Berklee College of Music. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Production (2015) from Berklee and is a prominent member of the Berklee Online community. Additionally, he earned three certificates from Berklee including a Master in Music Production Technology (2008), Professional in Electronic Music Production and Sound Design (2007), and a Specialist in Recording and Production for Guitar with Pro Tools (2005). While studying with Berklee he earned a Steve Vai Celebrity Scholarship for Guitar (2008). Prior to that, he earned the Louis Armstrong Jazz award for his dual role as a guitarist and trombonist for the Hudson Jazz Band (2002). Bonica is also an Avid Certified Expert in Pro Tools HD for both Music and Post Production as well as a Certified VENUE Operator for FOH. Drawing from his roots as an electronics technician in the United States Marine Corps, Bonica has united his vast technical knowledge with his passion for music, allowing him to be the Swiss Army Knife in studio that artists cannot live without. He is the ultimate definition of simultaneous left and right brain fluency. As if he did not have enough qualifications already, Bonica holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National University and is completing his graduate studies in engineering while continuing his full time career in the music technology industry. When he is not in the studio, Bonica is designing the next generation of audio hardware and software to enable musicians and producers to reach new heights with their music.
