Jennifer Olivera
- Actress
Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Jennifer Olivera found her
passion for the stage in Junior High School after given the opportunity
to play a small role in Alice in Wonderland. From that day forward, she
knew she wanted to be an actress. Continuing with her passion through
High School, she took part in as many extracurricular arts classes as
possible, including jazz choir, madrigals, a capella and chaminade. In
order to hone her skills, she also entered into a variety of acting and
dancing classes until her graduation in 2005. After graduation, she was
accepted and attended The School for Film and Television in Manhattan
(which has since been renamed The New York Conservatory for Dramatic
Arts). A student of the Mesiner Technique, Jennifer's road to
graduation was not without it's trials. Prior to finishing school, an
accident occurred where she broke her ankle. Despite the long commutes
to and from school, pain from the accident and the need to use
crutches, she graduated in 2007. Since then, she's participated in as
many roles as possible for experience. Experiencing the worlds of
community theatre and student film, Jennifer made her professional
debut with a small speaking role in
Return (2011) alongside stars
Linda Cardellini and
Michael Shannon. This role made
her eligible to join SAG. Although she has had many obstacles come
across her path, she has never and will never let anything stand in the
way of her dreams. She has also has one sibling, a younger brother, who
also have a love for theatre.
