Black Canary, Huntress, and Harley team up in a new Birds of Prey series from Brian Azzarello and Emanuela Lupacchino.
With a movie coming out in February, DC is putting some heft behind a classic property. Brian Azzarello and Emanuela Lupacchino are bringing back the Birds of Prey in October with a new monthly series.
The Birds were originally introduced by Chuck Dixon and Dick Giordano in 1995 as a team-up between Black Canary and then wheelchair-bound genius strategist, ex-Batgirl and then-Oracle, Barbara Gordon. The team later grew to include...nearly every superhero woman in the DC Universe, from Judomaster to Poison Ivy to Huntress to Lady Blackhawk.

Being a huge fan of Superman myself, you can only imagine how excited I am for what 2018 has in store for Big Blue, be it the start of the Brian Michael Bendis era or otherwise. Still, that doesn’t mean I’m going to take my eyes off the present, because there’s still a lot going on in the current run of the book.
If you’ve been keeping up with the character’s flagship titles in recent years, then you’re well aware that the Man of Tomorrow has really been put through the wringer. And it’s because of learning that his father, Jor-El, was actually Mr. Oz – among other things that have happened – that he’s taken it upon himself to embark on adventures that are a bit out of his way.
