A New eight-part series about female gamers is being unveiled this month.
Pretty in Geek, an eight-part web series following a group of friends who enjoy role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons, will launch online on July 11, 2012, accompanied by a live event at The Central in Toronto, Canada.
The show - featuring Stefne Mercedes (Call Me Fitz), Jen Krukowski (Hills Green, Curious and Unusual Deaths), Elize Morgan (The Ghostening), Todd Caryl (FM Andy, Politics of Fear) and Meaghan Fritchley - is a comedy following in the footsteps of series like The Guild (created by and starring Felicia Day) or Red vs Blue (from Rooster Teeth Productions).
It tackles geek comedy in a fun, tongue-in-cheek way and looks at the not-so-secret lives of female gamers.
The cast, director, writer and producers of Pretty in Geek will be at The Central (603 Markham Street) for the launch event on July 11.
Pretty in Geek is produced by GopherX.
