Fox announced today that "Raising Hope" is set to end its four-season run with a special one-hour farewell event Friday, April 4 at 9pm Et/Pt. "Raising Hope," created by Greg Garcia ("The Millers," "My Name is Earl") premiered in the fall of 2010. Starring Emmy Award winners Martha Plimpton and Cloris Leachman, Garret Dillahunt, Lucas Neff, Shannon Woodward and Gregg Binkley, the series follows a lovingly dysfunctional family as they raise an adorable yet unexpected addition to the family - a little girl named Hope (Rylie & Baylie Cregut). Katy Perry has landed a role in "Raising Hope". The "E.T." hitmaker took to Twitter on Wednesday, February 22 to show a picture of her fictional character named Rikki. She posted the image along with a message which read, "I hope I don't get type-cast."
In the Twitpic, Perry is seen channeling her inner prison attendant. Wearing a red, wild curly wig, the 27-year-old singer looks menacing in her office uniform. She stands next to Shannon Woodward's Sabrina, who dons an orange jail jumpsuit.
In a recent interview, Perry revealed how she got the role. "Shannon Woodward is my best friend," she said. "A couple weeks ago, I was home, just toasting up a frozen chicken fillet when she called me up and asked if I wanted to do something 'fun' for a change and try out a guest role on her TV show. I thought, 'Sure, I have nothing else to do,...

'Raising Hope' has a lot going for it -- great cast, hilarious storylines and a seriously adorable baby. But baby Hope is growing up fast, and the Season 2 promo proves that she's now mobile enough to destroy a small city.
I visited the 'Raising Hope' set last week to get some scoop on the new season, but was most excited to see how much Hope (a.k.a. twins Rylie and Baylie Cregut) had changed. Showrunner Greg Garcia says they'll be bridging the gap between seasons with some home video footage shot by the twins' parents over the show's summer hiatus. A little montage will run at the beginning of the season opener (premieres Tues., Sept. 20, 9:30Pm Et on Fox) to catch us up.
But the show's first promo for Season 2 shows you everything you need to see: Hope is walking,...
