We were sad to see Jaclyn Poole leave on the last episode of "America's Next Top Model," especially as we feel that this season the dramatic girls are getting rewarded more than ever.
Yet, when we spoke to the waitress and college student about her elimination, Jaclyn pretty much stuck to being nice - no matter how hard we tried to get her to do some smack talking.
"I think that the pressure of the competition can weigh on all of us and it weighs on us differently," Jaclyn, 20, says of the other girls' drama. "And going to the competition, everyone has their little outbursts and some maybe a bit larger than others, but honestly at the end of the day we are all here wanting the same thing... They want it just as badly as I did and I think that not only is there one winner, but we are all winners.

She was the "sweeter than sweet tea" contestant on America's Next Top Model this season, but Jaclyn was more than just a darling personality: Last week, she won her first (and last) best photo for her jaw-dropping "Crazy for Makeup" photo. Things were looking up!
Unfortunately for Jaclyn, she wasn't so crazy for maps. So when Tyra sent her out in Los Angeles with only an atlas and a prayer, she only got to two of the four go-sees. That, combined with an underwhelming photo shoot at the local garbage dump, sealed her fate, and Jaclyn was sent home right before the final five got on a plane to Morocco. (Why does it always happen to the nice ones?)
I talked to Jaclyn yesterday about her Top Model experience, and she was just as kind and positive as we saw on the show. Here's what she had to say:...

We've never seen an episode of "America's Next Top Model" with so many sulky faces. Wow, girls, you can be sitting at home on your couch watching the show like us or you can be walking in a hamster ball, having bees crawl all over your face, placing yourself on fire, and rolling in mud. Um, Ok, you can sulk.
On this episode, Tyra Banks tried to teach the girls about fame and how to deal with it. She also had the girls figure out what model archetype they are (but we're not sure how that fit into the lesson).
She surprised the girls in their house with boards filled with pictures, diagrams, and lists. She had them do important exercises like practicing their autographs. We're sure glad Tyra didn't take that time to teach them impractical things like, say, how to model. Sulky girl No. 1 was Molly, who still...

I’d like to start off this review over Wednesday’s fantastic episode of Top Model with a moment of silence for Alexandria’s dearly departed roots.

Okay, are you guys ready to soldier on?
Apparently Top Model has up and decided to become a pretty legit modeling competition because “Lori Goldstein” packed everything I love about the show into a fun hour of television. It was makeovers galore and while there wasn’t an ice blonde or nervous breakdown in sight, it was nice to really see who’ll be in the running for the rest of the season. The best makeovers (courtesy of Laurent D.) were Brittani’s Dutch Boy (at first it looked a little wiggy but it read beautifully elsewhere), Jaclyn’s grown-up Selena Gomez bed of curls, and the discovery that Hannah is actually Blake Lively (yowza!), with Dominique’s Rihanna inspired weave also significantly improving her appearance.

The girls return home from panel to discover that it's makeover week on America's Next Top Model! Everyone is slightly nervous about what look Tyra has in store for them, after finding a list of possible hair styles waiting for them at the house, including 'manly and spiked', 'kinky, red and wild' and 'big, gurly and curly'. The day of the makeover looms and everybody has mixed feelings as they take their turn in the hair stylist's chair. Brittani is thrilled with her short black bob with heavy bangs, while Jaclyn is pleased to just have her natural curls enhanced even more (although Miss J teases that he might take a razor to her locks). Monique has a few hair extensions added, while Sara has her "rat tail" chopped off and her prediction of short dark spikes comes true. She later says that she knows it makes the best of...

Hindsight is 20/20.
It’s the second week in a row that Antm has mentioned John Galliano. Obviously, it was filmed before the Galliano fallout, but still, I’m surprised producers haven’t cut offending remarks about praise to him. In actual show news, the girls finally meltdown at their impending makeover doom, and inevitable drama ensues! Let’s break it down.
The Makeover:
It’s makeover time... dum dum dum! The girls get an extra dose of anxiety when Tyra sends them a little preview of the makeovers they will be getting without specifying who will be subjected to which makeover. The girls freak out over “manly” and “short Dutch boy” and, really, who wants to be a short Dutch (female) boy?
Brittany does! And she looks fabulous, too! Miss J freaks out over poor, sweet Jaclyn by threatening her with a razor, although she takes it in stride. Psyche!

Someone has to be the first person to leave "America's Next Top Model" and in Cycle 16, it was Pembroke Pines, Fla. native, Angelia.
In her short stay in the house, Tyra Banks made the 20-year-old marine biology major jump through several crazy hoops. First, she was made to believe she was leaving in a prank and then she was thrown inside a ball and made to walk the plank over water.
The judges sent her home, because they felt she like she wasn't connecting with the camera and them. And while her photo was very pretty, it didn't scream model to them.
Still, there's much we wanted to know about the events in the premiere, so Angelia took a moment to answer six questions.
1.) Did Tyra really fool you with her prank?I was definitely fooled. All the girls were fooled. We thought that we were going home. I was picturing getting on the plane,...
