Dominik Wallner is an Austrian musician, songwriter and composer. He lives in Salzburg, where he completed his studies at the Mozarteum. In addition to his classical training, he decided to go to Cardiff in 2008, where he studied free improvisation with Huw Warren at the Royal Welsh College and worked on his own compositions. The focus of this work is on improvising with a prepared piano and electronic aids. The principle of free improvisation is an essential part of his musical work, which he further developed at the UdK Berlin. In 2016, he founded Soundkredenz OG together with Manuel Schönegger, where he creates film scores, audio logos and contemporary music.
In the course of his musical career, Dominik Wallner was allowed to work with a number of top-class ensembles and musicians, including: Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg, oenm, Camerata Salzburg, Mark Dresser, Jim Black, Melissa Coleman, Roland Neuwirth, Herwig Gradischnigg, and many others.
