Directed by: Jennifer Lynch
Written by: Jennifer Lynch, Damian O'Donnell
Featuring: Vincent D'Onofrio, Eamon Farren, Julia Ormond, Gina Philips, Jake Weber
With Chained, Jennifer Lynch offers what she does best: a dark and complex character study wrapped in a carefully paced thriller.
The story is quite simple; one day, a woman and her 8-year-old son go to the theater to watch a movie. When they come out, they decide to take a cab home, but things get suspicious when the driver (Vincent D'Onofrio) doesn't listen to their directions and takes them to his place instead. There, he locks the boy in the car while he drags the woman inside his house to presumably rape and kill her. Then, he proceeds to chain the boy and force him to become his slave, having him do housework and dispose of the bodies of the women he picks up in his cab, then rapes and kills.
