Benny Benassi Presents the Biz (Fan Video) Planet of the Apes Party Fun Time from Bradley Hasse on Vimeo.
We went bananas when we saw this. An enterprising video editor named Bradley Haase has revisited the original "Planet of the Apes" and concocted a hilarious music video based on the premise of an Ape Dance Party, complete with vinyl records and glitzy disco decor. It's too bizarre to describe. Just watch it. If you don't share our sense of amusement, then in the words of Charlton Heston's Taylor, "Damn you all to hell!"...

Over the past weekend (or Halloweekend, as many horror fans lovingly refer to as that final Friday through Sunday of October), over 110,000 fans descended upon the Nos Events Center in San Bernardino to celebrate the electronic music scene and everything we love about Halloween.
During the festival, Escape’s stages hosted over 60 live acts performing for thousands of attendees on four stages, including the likes of Kaskade, Benny Benassi, Tiesto, The Chainsmokers, Duke Dumont, Joyride, Tchami, Firebeatz, Yellow Claw, and Claude VonStroke (who opened with a killer mix of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme—the perfect way to celebrate the season).
The entire Nos Events Center grounds were decked out to the nines for Halloween, complete with a circus midway that brought a small-town feeling into the center of the sprawling festival, featuring a tented area where oddities and other entertainers performed throughout both evenings, with Psycho Circus actors posing for pictures with fans.

It’s safe to say that last year marked a major turning point in Vassy’s career. The Australian vocalist (whose real name is Vasiliki Karagiorgos) became a household name in the Edm community thanks to her contributions to “Secrets,” which catapulted her and DJ/producer Kshmr into mainstream awareness due in no small part to Tiësto’s celebrity.
By the looks of things, however, Vassy isn’t content to let one track alone define her career. In addition to another Tiësto collaboration, she also recently released a song with Benny Benassi and has some very exciting things coming up that are part of her solo career.
We caught up with Vassy during Miami Music Week to discuss her upcoming endeavors in further detail. She even shared some insight into what factors might have led Australia to become the electronic music superpower that it is today.

Atlanta, Georgia music fans have cause for celebration today. Imagine Festival mistakenly announced the phase 1 lineup for its 2016 edition an hour early, and after screenshots made their rounds on social media, the event’s organizers went ahead and committed to the announcement.
Benny Benassi, Borgore, Dillon Francis and Excision make up the highest rung of entertainers on the three-day event’s roster, and bass music seems to take the spotlight for this year’s edition, as names like Gramatik, Zeds Dead, Beats Antique and 12th Planet seem to occupy a sizeable distribution of the lineup every step of the way down.
Imagine Festival takes place from August 26th – 28th, meaning that its organizers still have four more months to release additional lineup details to the public. Until then, check out the phase 1 lineup announcement below – and make a trip down to the comments section to let us know if you plan to attend.

It’s hard to find anything positive to say about Benny Benassi‘s new Chris Brown collaboration, “Paradise.” Even if you ignore that it’s a prime example of electronic music culture being appropriated for mainstream audiences, its style is dated by a number of years that makes it far from relevant even by those standards.
Don’t get me wrong – there was a window of time when collaborations between artists like David Guetta and American top 40 hip-hop and R&B artists helped to introduce U.S. audiences to electronic music. However, that window opened with Akon’s “Sexy Bitch” and closed with Rihanna’s “We Found Love.”
As talented of as performer as he is, nobody should be tricked into thinking that Chris Brown was intimately involved in the creative process behind “Paradise.” That’s just not how pop music works. As such, the responsibility to come up with...

With roughly 20 years of experience under his belt, Italian producer Benny Benassi is truly a pioneer in the Edm industry. With his trademark house/electro sound selling millions of records worldwide, he’s one of the few artists in the field who you could appropriately apply the term “legend” to.
While it was really his song “Satisfaction” that catapulted him to worldwide fame, Benassi has continued to impress throughout his accomplished career, releasing multiple, acclaimed artist albums and headlining some of the biggest festivals in the world. Of course, he’s also got a Grammy Award under his belt as well as several high profile collaborations with mainstream artists like Chris Brown and John Legend, proving that he truly is one Edm’s greats.
Recently, the producer dropped his hot new single “Even If,” and to promote it, he’s been hitting the road to play a couple big shows.

It’s reassuring that even after spending a large chunk of 2015 making radio-ready pop music with the likes of Justin Bieber, Skrillex can still throw down a set of bone-rattling bass music when the situation calls for it.

March is just around the corner now, which means that Miami Music Week is getting ready to kick off. Over the past several days, there’s been an influx of news regarding who will be playing which parties and today, it continues, with Dim Mak‘s announcement of the phase 1 lineup for their annual Nikki Beach party.
Headlining what will no doubt be one of the week’s hottest and biggest events will be 3 Are Legend, the goup made up of Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. Supporting them will be Benny Benassi, Borgore, Dirtyphonics and more. Plus, given the event’s history of bringing out special surprise guests, you can bet that there will be at least a few artists who will be making unannounced appearances throughout the day/night.

As one of the fastest rising stars in Edm at the moment, it was really just a matter of time before we got a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix from Mr. Oliver Heldens. Keeping in suit with his deep house/groovy style, the two hours of music delivers exactly what you’d expect.
From the producer’s own hits like “Gecko” and “Koala,” to some of the biggest songs of 2014 (“Light Years Away,” “A Sky Full Of Stars,” “Blame,” etc.) the mix is a pleasure to listen to from start to finish. In fact, it could very well make a case for Best Essential Mix of 2014, as it definitely rivals some of the more impressive ones that we’ve heard from BBC Radio 1 this year. If nothing else, though, it’s a great way for the young DJ to cap off his truly incredible breakout year.

Recently, Skrillex ran a promotion on his website for a free copy of a new Jack U track titled “Get Free/Cinema VIP.” Now that the song has been uploaded to various file sharing websites, we can tell you that it’s not an original cut. Rather, it’s a mashup of Benny Benassi’s “Cinema” with Major Lazer’s “Get Free,” two excellent songs.
While it would have been nice to see some new, original Jack U music, this is still a pretty solid mashup and considering that it’s free, you can’t really complain. Plus, with the duo playing at Madison Square Garden for New Year’s Eve, you can bet that they’ll be dropping some unreleased, new tracks in the very near future.
For now, however, check out the recent Jack U mashup below and let us know what you think of it in the comments section!

Can't wait for "The Hangover III"? Does "Spring Breakers" even seem too far away? Well, you can get your boozy party on this weekend with "21 And Over," and no drunken escapade is complete without songs to go with it and the upcoming film is ready to pump up the volume. Details on the 12 song strong soundtrack have arrived, and while it might not feature the most heavily rotated names on the pop charts, it makes up for it in pure energy. Bringing the rock 'n roll are Langhorne Slim, the still kicking Dropkick Murphys and anthemic bruisers Gaslight Anthem. Dropping some mad beats are Benny Benassi, 4th Pyramid and T. Mills among others, while The Naked & Famous serve up a remix of their omnipresent "Young Blood." Sounds about right. The soundtrack is availalbe right now through digital outlets, and you can slam back a six pack and find Jeff Chang on March 1st.

Perhaps you’ve heard of a song called “Gangnam Style.” It’s by some Korean dude who calls himself Psy and it’s got, like, a trillion views on YouTube. No? Well, take my word for it, it’s popular. And as with most things that are popular – Snuggies, pretty girls, singing competition reality shows – it’s inspired all sorts of imitators. Now before you rush to the nearest tablet or mobile device and hunt these down for yourself, be warned: not all of the imitations are good. In fact some of them are quite bad. So, with that in mind,...

When you're a pop star of Madonna's stature, you get to call in any number of favors. Like having progressive house superstar Benny Benassi produce your single, "Girl Gone Wild," and open for you in Abu Dhabi.
Benassi and Madonna have a long history together. The Italian Stallion remixed both "Celebration" and "Vogue" (though the latter was a bootleg). If Madonna stays in the game after Mdna, she's likely to link up with Benassi again. (Other house heads she's worked with: Avicii, who remixed "Girl Gone Wild," and Martin Solveig, who produced a good chunk of the album.)
Ultra Music is premiering footage from the July concert tomorrow on the label's YouTube channel, but HuffPost Entertainment has an exclusive preview. Watch the teaser below and let us know what you think in the comments.

In a 2006 interview with Oprah, Sean "Diddy" Combs said that the Notorious B.I.G.'s murder was a self-fulfilling prophecy. "His albums were called Ready to Die and Life After Death. One of his album covers was shot in a cemetery," he said. "Anything I've ever put in a record, I've seen it come true. So I try to teach the artists. I might ask, 'Is that really worth saying?'"
If we take Diddy at his word, he may have advised Chris Brown about repeatedly rapping and singing about bottle service on Fortune, his latest effort (July 3, Sony/RCA). "Thousand bottles, on these models; n---a, this ain't your night," he sing-raps on "Till I Die," a track on the album.
But save for connections with Brown's bottle-throwing fight with Drake, the R&B singer pop star's album doesn't have much in its favor. Fortune endeavors to hit every popular genre (dubstep,...
