- Richard Wright is a committed member of the Salvation Army and a Christian. He believes that the chances he gained due to this and the life he has had due to that fact has made him the man and artist he is today.
- Richard Wright lists many people as being major influences on his work but the Writer/Director who first inspired him to do what he does is Kevin Smith. Since that time the likes of Woody Allen and Jason Reitman have become influences.
- Richard Wright is Dyspraxic, a condition which is both a learning difficulty and is also known as an invisible disability. Dyspraxia not only affects areas more commonly associated with Dyslexia but also affects hand eye co-ordination, fatigue and balance.
- While in his first year at University Wright was part of a group that tried and failed to make a zombie movie called "Brain Eaters from Ealing". When this movie collapsed it left them less then 24 hours to make and edit a film to hand in for the assignment. They did this by making a short film called "Dark Intent". Also part of the group was writer/director Rhys Taylor.
- Richard Wright was a Salvation Army carol singing extra in the BBC soap opera "Eastenders" in the Christmas episodes 2011.
