In 2021, Pointless fans had to come to terms with the fact that change is the only constant in this crazy, crazy world when the show’s co-creator and co-host Richard Osman left to pursue other career opportunities such as being an incredibly successful crime novelist, and taking the main seat on his own game show Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Good for Richard Osman, it all seems to be very going well for him. But for Pointless?
Taking its cue from satirical current affairs show Have I Got News For You?, which settled on a revolving carousel of guest hosts when its regular host Angus Deayton was forced to step down instead of plumping for a permanent chair, Pointless has welcomed a series of co-hosts in the past couple of years.
First up were Sally Lindsay, Stephen Mangan, Lauren Laverne, Alex Brooker, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble. Next came Andi Oliver,...

Taskmaster is chaotic enough as it is – that’s why we love it so much – so can you imagine the kinds of unbroadcastable mayhem that occurs during filming?
Well, you don’t need to imagine, because we’ve rounded up a wild array of anecdotes from former contestants podcast interviews, the Taskmaster book and Little Alex Horne himself about all kinds of secret shenanigans that occurred but didn’t (and mostly couldn’t) make the cut:
Task Attempts Nixed For Legal Reasons
The producers certainly have their hands full trying to prevent the contestants from going overboard, with some attempts at tasks being either illegal or simply unbroadcastable.
Mark Watson also revealed that one unaired task in series 5 – in which contestants had to make five far-fetched predictions come true – was cut because Sally Phillips predicted something “legally compromising.” We’d love to know what that was…

Ding ding, everybody off the Taskmaster bus! New passengers incoming! Series 12 – which taught us that Victoria Coren-Mitchell never learned how to ride a bike, Guz Khan owns more framed portraits of himself than is sensible, Desiree Burch can’t burst a balloon with a fork to save her life, Morgana Robinson is able to get goose bumps at will and Alan Davies still has a Jonathan Creek wig in his loft – has reached its climax. One lucky winner has skipped away merrily with the Taskmaster’s gleaming head as a prize and plenty of time to prepare for the inevitable Series 11-15 Champion of Champions special. Meanwhile the other four have skipped away safe in the knowledge that nobody is ever again likely to ask them to sit on a cake.
That means it’s time for the next line-up, which is confirmed to feature (in alphabetical first name order): Ardal O’Hanlon,...

British lifestyle vlogger Saffron Barker has landed a spot on Strictly Come Dancing -- the U.K.’s answer to Dancing With The Stars.
Barker, 19, is the second major YouTuber to be tapped by the reality competition after Joe Sugg. On Strictly Come Dancing, which airs on BBC One, celebrities are paired with professional ballroom dancers and compete in themed performances, which are scored by a panel of expert judges. In his season, Sugg made it to the final round and ended as the runner-up. Other competitors this year include footballer David James, comedian Chris Ramsey, and EastEnders star Emma Barton.
“This is such a dream for me,” Barker said of the honor, per The Watford Observer. “I’m excited to follow in [Sugg’s] footsteps. He's done absolutely amazing. I’ve got a lot to live up to.”

Hebburn has been dropped by BBC Two.
The comedy will not return for a third series, its creator Jason Cook has confirmed.
In a statement, Cook said: "Just so everyone knows, the BBC will not be renewing Hebburn for a third series. We've had such a great time making series one and two and I'd like to thank the BBC for allowing us to do this.
"The team that made Hebburn were so committed to it and those both in front of and behind the camera were what made Hebburn so special."
Hebburn first aired on BBC Two in October 2012 and followed Jack Pearson (Chris Ramsey), a local boy who returns to his home town with a new girlfriend - secretly his wife - in tow.
