Much as ghost driven horror stories swept Asia a decade or so back, dark but classy thrillers are where it's at in Europe these days with the success of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo emboldening producers across the continent to weigh in with their own bleakly elegant tales and now it would appear to be Poland's turn with Ziarno Prawdy (A Grain Of Truth). As is the case with so many of these films, Boris Lankosz's effort is adapted from a successful novel - Zygmunt Miloszewski's book of the same name - and plunges investigators into a murky world of crime.
