If you thought Hollywood couldn’t possibly turn a small-scale mobile game into a feature film, then you’ve underestimated their powers for cash-grabbing. The Angry Birds Movie will arrive next year, courtesy of directors Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, and today brings the first trailer.
While we’re not quite sure what to make of it, the adaptation features a massive voice cast, including Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, Jillian Bell, Danielle Brooks, Romeo Santos, and Smosh.
We also have a new trailer for an update on Charles Schulz‘s classic comic Peanuts. Directed by Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift), and produced by Paul Feig (Bridesmaids), the story will follow Snoopy as he imagines what’s going on in his owner’s life, including boarding his doghouse-turned-Sopwith Camel plane and...

How many of you watched the Peanuts holiday specials over the last few months? For many of us, it’s an annual tradition of viewing the classic Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas shorts starring Charlie Brown and friends, but this was my first time introducing them to my son. Briefly, anyway. I quickly realized that they’re pretty damn depressing cartoons and not always entertaining for little kids. How have they been such a staple for almost half a century? At least my son liked the Snoopy and Woodstock bits in each. Maybe it’s for similar reason that Fox has been focusing on the little beagle and bird duo in their promotions for their upcoming The Peanuts Movie, which is due in November. Then again, there’s not much that’s more depressing than World War I, and so far the primary sequence shown to us in teaser trailers is Snoopy as ace pilot of his doghouse...

Just as you were preparing for this year's slate of Christmas films, Fox has taken a moment to remind you that the holiday will be back next year, and they are getting ready for it. Yes, this morning Fox and Blue Sky Animation have released a trailer for "Peanuts." No worry of nut-based allergies here (depending on your view of the beagle), the film is based on the classic characters created by Charles M. Schulz. The trailer offers just about everything you would hope for from such a film (again, depending on your view of the beagle). Yes, Snoopy himself is at the center of the new trailer, flying over Europe in his Sopwith Camel as he tries to shoot down the Red Baron. Woodstock is present as well, trying to deck Snoopy's doghouse halls for the holiday. You will even see the humans at the tail end of the...

When The Peanuts Movie hits theaters on November 6, 2015, producer Paul Feig and director Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift) say the focus will be on the timeless quality of 50-plus years of beloved comic strips and TV specials created by Charles M. Schulz and, as Feig tells USA Today, Charlie Brown won't twerk, wear a baseball cap backwards or try to "break the Internet" a la Kim Kardashian. We previously got a first look at the upcoming movie back in March and today we get four new images of Charlie and the gang including a movie theater setting, Snoopy in World War I flying ace mode and a Christmas setting. The tale appears to focus on Snoopy, a story triggered by what Snoopy sees going on in Charlie's life, involving the wildly imaginative beagle hopping on his doghouse-turned-Sopwith Camel plane and heading to Paris during World War I to...
