The Samuel Goldwyn Foundation president Samuel Goldwyn Jr unveiled the recipients of the 58th annual Samuel Goldwyn Writing Awards recognising excellence in dramatic writing on November 4.
This year’s winners were led by Rocco Pucillo (UCLA School Of Theater, Film And Television) in first place for Inspector Sun And The Curse of The Black Widow. Pucillo is pictured at right with TriStar Productions chairman Tom Rothman.
Jared Robbins (Uc Riverside) came second for Farang, while Jeffrey Baker (UCLA School Of Theater, Film And Television) tied in third place for Dr Acker’s English Elixir with Sean Harrigan (Uc Irvine) for Dust Red and Turner Hay (UCLA School Of Theater, Film And Television) for Broken Gray.
The Goldwyn Awards carry prizes of $15,000 for first place, $7,500 for second place and $4,000 for third place.

The finallists, who submitted screenplays, stage plays and teleplays were chosen from a field of more than 260 submissions from eight University Of California campuses.
They are:
