Bobby Gwin was born in Harrow on the Hill,NW London,UK & his early years were mainly influenced by music, and
musical performance.Mostly from his father, who was a drummer and DJ
through the 60's to 90's ,(He worked in a record/music
shop through the 60's, and served many famous people musical
instruments,such as Elton John and Rod Stewart.)Bobby learnt to play drums to a high level, thru the ages of 10-13.
Always being encouraged to follow his creativity, and talent within the arts. Bobby discovered his passion for acting/writing/directing, from the age of 13.When his Father purchased a camcorder to capture family memories. Bobby had a zeal and ability to act,along with a desire to gather friends, and direct their own short comedy sketches. He joined several local amateur dramatic groups,and was also signed up as a part time student at "Sylvia young stage school",in London.Thriving in these environments Bobby developed his acting skills and was performing both on stage and in front of a camera on a regular basis. Highlights including performances at the Albery Theatre in London for his comprehensive school, and several stage productions for local amateur dramatic groups.
After leaving school, and building a career in I.T., in 2002 Bobby started to build his own recording studio and produce his own music.Teaching himself guitar,bass,keyboards and music production techniques. In 2009 he formed his own record label "Newfound ground records" , a platform for him to release all the music he creates,across multiple genres , through different artist monikers. He secured his first publishing deal in 2009 and has has sold many licenses for his music,ranging from tracks featured on compilation CD's,extreme sports TV footage,corporate media, film trailers and full feature film soundtracks.
In 2013 Bobby started to push his writing,acting and directing skills again and he shot his first short film "Metamorphosis" in May of that year.
From that point on,he decided to form a group of video creatives/crew and actors/actresses, based in and around Milton Keynes,UK,who would work on filming projects as "Newfound ground productions". A team from the group, successfully entered the international 24hr film race 2014, with the film "Salt of the earth" in May 2014.
