Alice Connolly was born in Watford, England. She studied Film Studies
at the University of Kent where she learnt about filmmaking and worked
on a number of short films, such as the short film "Ripley", which went
on to win an award at the Short and Sweet Film Festival 2011. After
completing her degree she decided to focus on learning more about
cameras and lighting, and in 2011 she went to Bournemouth University to
study for a Master's degree in Cinematography for Digital Film and
Television. For the final project of her Master's degree she wrote and
directed "The Green Gaze", which was funded through an Indiegogo
crowdfunding campaign.
