“American Horror Story: Freak Show” actor Ben Woolf has passed away following a head injury that occurred last week.
The 34-year-old actor, who played Meep on the TV series, was hit in the head by the side-view mirror of a passing SUV on Thursday night (Feb. 19) as he was crossing the street in Hollywood. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he remained in intensive care before his condition was upgraded to stable on Friday (Feb. 20).
According to TMZ, Ben never regained consciousness and died of a stroke on Monday (Feb. 24) at L.A.’s Cedars Sinai hospital.
“We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work,” the actor’s family said in a statement.
