We here at /Film love actor Paul Walter Hauser. The "I, Tonya," "Cobra Kai," and "Black Bird" star is one of the most exciting performers currently working today, and also one of the most unpredictable. Just before it was announced that he had won the statue for Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie for "Black Bird," he had just taken a bite of something, meaning he started his acceptance speech still chewing. When he finally made it to the stage, he pulled out his phone and began reciting a rhyming speech from his phone.
His hands were shaking, likely from a combination of nerves and excitement, but it was certainly an odd choice to write a poetic acceptance speech that had a tinge of silliness. And then ... he got to the end. Following thank-yous to his wife, co-star Ray Liotta, and many others who helped him get to where he is now,...

Welcome to my review of Aew: All In London 2023, the company’s biggest-ever pay-per-view that set Actual attendance records and box office gate records. I was there, as it happened live, and had an amazing time. It also turns out you can see me on the show a lot too given the great seats we got! So, with that in mind, here’s my totally and utterly biased review… Oh, and roll on All In London 2024 too!

Aussie Open blindsided Cole and Mjf at the start of the match. They bashed Cole and Mjf with the collider outside the ring. Davis planted Mjf and splashed him for a two count. Fletcher whipped Cole into the steel guardrail. Mjf was looking for the kangaroo kick,...

It’s a great time to be a professional wrestling fan. With so much content out there, it is hard to follow everything. But All Elite Wrestling should be celebrating this week because they will host the upcoming second “All In” professional wrestling pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium. With record-breaking ticket sales, it looks like fans are really looking forward to this event.
“All In” will occur on August 27, 2023, at Wembley Stadium in London, England. This will mark Aew’s debut in the United Kingdom, their first PPV event outside North America. All In will mark the first professional wrestling event to be held at present-day Wembley Stadium, with the stadium itself promoting it as part of the 100th anniversary of Wembley.
The event set Aew’s attendance and revenue record on first-day sales. It is estimated to break the paid attendance record for a professional wrestling event, with a reported...

It’s Monday morning, so you know what that means… it’s time for our review of Friday night’s episode of Aew: Rampage, which this week featured Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Jim Ross on commentary, so let’s get to the review!
Match #1: Jon Moxley def. Mance Warner
My Thoughts: This was a drag-down, knock-out fight. Mance Warner promised a fight and that’s what both men delivered. Moxley made Warner look badass, giving him room to show his stuff to the Aew crowd and fans not familiar with his time in Mlw and on the indies. This match was also given plenty of time to tell its story, with small subtle actions from both men really giving this opener some depth.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Konosuke Takeshita def. Ryan Nemeth
My Thoughts: With a title match on Saturday against Claudio Castagnoli, Konosuke Takeshita succinctly and...

Minoru Kawasaki’s films have always been silly as much as entertaining, with his tendency to portray various professional humans in animal form, having drawn joyous laughter by all audience that enjoy cult parody. This time his approach deals with the kaiju-tokusatsu theme, in a film that parodies “Godzilla” (Resurgence) as much as Kawasaki’s own films.
Kaiju Mono will be available from Terracotta Distribution
The story starts with a film crew from SpiritSpots.com entering Specter Pass in Mount Myojin, where strange lights have been reported to appear recently. During their search, they are warned by the mysterious Professor Nindo Izumi not to proceed. However, they pay no attention to him and soon end up dead by a gigantic creature that emerges from the ground. All the while, reports for abnormal weather around the globe, earthquakes in Mount Myojin and the reemergence of ancient plants are all over the news,...

Welcome to this review of Ring Of Honor’s/New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 SuperCard, which emanated from Madison Square Garden in one of the great moments of wrestling history. I’m Nathan Favel and right here on Nerdly, we have one of the biggest events in wrestling history to discuss, so let’s do so.
Match #1: The 30-Man Honor Rambo: Winner – Kenny King
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was less about great wrestling and more about big surprises. The action was of a certain quality, which should neither condone nor condemn the match itself. In what may have set the precedent for the card, the Japanese wrestlers were the best thing here. Overall, this match got the crowd excited, which is just fine.

Welcome to the All In Pay Per View review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a hell of a card to cover, so let’s do so right now!
Match #1: So Cal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) beat The Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark) – Tag Team Match
This was the first of two matches for the Wgn portion of All In called Zero Hour. This was an excellent match that the crowd loved. The action was crisp and got the night started off right.
Match #2: The Over The Budget Battle Royal – Winner: Flip Gordon
This had a few surprises like Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer, but the big shock came from Flip Gordon dressed in a mask and winning the match by eliminating Ray. Flip took the mask off and Ray was pissed. The crowd was thrilled that Flip won and so was I.

Welcome to the All In prediction column, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is a preview of what may be the biggest wrestling card of the year. I’d also like to thank CBS Sports for providing the card listing that we are working with here. I’m really excited for this one, so let’s get right to it!
Match #1: Moose, Jordynne Grace, Colt Cabana, Ethan Page, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, Billy Gunn, Jimmy Jacobs, Marko Stunt, Brandon Cutler, Punishment Martinez and others – Over The Budget Battle Royal For A Ring Of Honor World Title Match Later On The Card
Appearing on the Zero Hour portion of the card that will air on Wgn, this match will be a fun spectacle. I think they’ll go with Punishment Martinez to win this match.
Match #2: The Briscoes vs. So-Cal Uncensored – Tag Team Match

After a couple years out of the spotlight it would appear oddball Calamari Wrestler director Kawasaki Minoru is now well and truly back. It was back in November that we reported on his tokusatsu hero spoof Outerman and now, less than a year later, he's back again with man-in-suit kaiju film Giant Monster Mono. A giant monster Mono appears from deep under the ground and starts preying on humans. As the man eating monster terrorize the city, a scientist changes human into a giant Titan in order to battle against Mono. A fierce battle between kaijyu Mono and Titan begins. Starring opposite the giant monster is New Japan Pro-Wrestling star Kota Ibushi and the trailer promises to put his skills to use in full knock...

WrestleMania weekend was a huge spectacle for pro wrestling in general, but it was particularly wild for the World Wrestling Network family of promotions.
The group held more than half a dozen shows and events, including two fantastic Evolve Wrestling cards, a Czw show, the inaugural Heart of Shimmer tournament, Kaiju Big Battel featuring Kota Ibushi, and even a pre-WrestleMania barbecue with the legendary Terry Funk.
As rousing a success as all those events were, though, the crowning glory of Wwn’s weekend was the group’s annual Mercury Rising supershow.
More than just an Evolve card, the show featured participation from fellow Wwn groups Full Impact Pro and Shine, as well as a host of international talent (including Ibushi). The result was an incredible card with action for just about everybody – whether you like submission wrestling, striking, high-flying, or even comedy wrestling, Wwn had you covered.

As WWE continues to recruit the top wrestling talent in the world to freshen up the ranks of both their main roster and Nxt, yet another star looks set to join the company, assuming he hasn’t already signed.
During the action-packed Nxt: TakeOver Dallas show, the cameras focused in on Japanese superstar Kota Ibushi seated in the crowd, a recent free agent after successful runs in Ddt and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Ibushi resigned in February after recovering from a cervical disc herniation, stating that he felt he could no longer maintain the strenuous schedule he was working while performing for both companies simultaneously.
His departure was a difficult blow for New Japan following the losses of top stars Aj Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, and many expected “Golden Star” to be in line for a major push.

Earlier this week, top Japanese junior heavyweight Kota Ibushi announced that he was resigning from his contracts with New Japan Pro Wrestling and Dramatic Dream Team in order to work as a freelancer. Now, rumors are swirling the the “Golden Star” may participate in the WWE Network’s Global Cruiserweight Series.
Ibushi made history in 2013 when he became the first wrestler in Japan to sign full-time contracts with the two promotions. He’d continued to successfully compete for both, but also indicated that the schedule was leaving him feeling burnt out. Last autumn, Ibushi suffered a spinal injury and he’s been out of action ever since.
Ibushi’s announcement earlier this week that he was no longer going to work full time for either promotion (but was still willing to compete for both) raised eyebrows, as did his explanation that he would be founding the “Ibushi Wrestling Research Institute.

2015 is almost in the books, and no matter what perspective one’s wrestling fandom takes, there were no shortage of huge matches by which to remember the year.
WWE fans were thrilled as Seth Rollins robbed Brock Lesnar of the WWE Championship at the climax of Lesnar’s WrestleMania main event against Roman Reigns, then couldn’t turn away as Lesnar and The Undertaker split PPV matches later in the year. For Nxt fans, Bayley’s Women’s Championship win over Sasha Banks at Nxt Takeover: Brooklyn and Finn Balor’s Nxt Title win over Kevin Owens at The Beast in the East were highlights of the year.
For those who prefer New Japan action, the hits were fast and furious, with Hiroshi Tanahashi’s epic victory over Shinsuke Nakamura in the G1 Finals, or the separate victories each man picked up at Wrestle Kingdom 9 (over Kazuchika Okada and Kota Ibushi,...
