Fred was born Fred E. Stoll, in Monmouth New Jersey. His family moved
to Los Angeles when he was a boy. Fred was a gifted carpenter. He could
make anything out of anything. He worked at Universal Studios on
several films and then went over to Columbia Studios where he worked on
television shows, Hazel and Father Knows Best. He worked as a set
painter, a grip in electrical and he built scaffolding. Fred died from
renal failure. He he was married to Ellen Brimely (distant cousin of
Wilford Brimley) and he had one son, Edgar C. Stoll.
