The Hollywood Reporter has landed 44 nominations for the 66th annual SoCal Journalism Awards, including print journalist of the year for Rebecca Keegan and best website.
Other nominations were bestowed upon THR’s Songwriter Roundtable, podcasts Awards Chatter and It Happened in Hollywood, and the Live Feed and Heat Vision blogs, in addition to THR’s original photography, videos, criticism and social media posts.
The awards are handed out by the Los Angeles Press Club, which noted that more than 2,300 entries were submitted this year. The winners will be announced at an awards dinner gala June 23 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

The Hollywood Reporter on Monday announced the return of its Emmy-nominated series Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter.
In a partnership with AMC Networks, the second season of the show will premiere May 24, at a new time of 10 p.m. Pt/1 a.m. Et, exclusively on IFC and streaming on AMC+. New episodes will continue to premiere every Friday.
The new season will consist of five new episodes featuring Emmy contenders, with installments each featuring a different theme: Comedy Actress, Drama Actor, Comedy Actor, Drama Actress and Stand-Up.
Each episode will highlight a dynamic ensemble of actors and delve deep into the urgent issues, creative methodologies and behind-the-scenes narratives that define entertainment. Conversations are moderated by THR’s Mikey O’Connell and Lacey Rose, while Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Yvonne Orji (Insecure) will return as host of the series.

On Friday, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced the nominees for the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and The Hollywood Reporter earned two nominations.

The Hollywood Reporter has named Jason Rovou, a multiplatform producer, showrunner and journalist, as its vp production and development for video.
In his new position, Rovou will oversee the publication’s daily news productions, its Emmy-nominated Roundtable series and other video initiatives while developing exciting new editorial and branded content.
“Jason is a creative, talented journalist who has produced top-notch content for some of the biggest names and media outlets in the country,” said Nekesa Mumbi Moody, THR’s editorial director. “We are incredibly pleased to have Jason aboard to elevate the already stellar video lineup THR is now producing.”
Rovou will report to Patricia Mays, THR’s executive editor of news, and will be based in Los Angeles.
Rovou has produced breaking news reports, documentaries, talk shows and various other content for ABC News, CNN, Spike, Hulu and Ora TV, earning six Emmy nominations for his work over a two decade-plus career.
