With In Memory Of, director Eric Stanze and his crew at Wicked Pixel Cinema have delivered another nightmarish piece of low-budget psychological weirdness that is highly recommended. Jackie Kelly stars as Amber, a twenty-ish woman recently diagnosed as the youngest victim of an unusual neurological ailment, one which causes hallucinations and other mental issues. It’s a disease that may have killed her mother and in flashbacks it’s revealed that she was raised by her Aunt and was in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend Darren (Adam Ahlbrandt), who cheated on her with a woman named Jennifer (Haley Madison) and forced her into prostitution. But Amber is an unreliable narrator, which becomes more apparent as the story unfolds and her past is revisited. She travels to a grungy bunker to take part in a group study for a potential treatment for her disease. After she wakes up and finds...

From director Dustin Wayde Mills (Skinless, Easter Casket, Applecart) comes Her Name Was Torment II: Agony, the sequel to last years runaway underground horror hit.
After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo – of which I was one of the backers – which blew through it’s goal to raise 178% of its intended target, Mills has completed filming of his new Crumpleshack Films feature, with an intended Summer 2015 release date.
Once again starring a wealth of Mills’ regular cohorts: Dave Parker, Haley Madison, Erin R. Ryan, Allison Egan and Brandon Salkil to name a few; Her Name was Torment II used some of that crowdfunding cash to hire special effects wizard Marcus Koch (100 Tears, Sweatshop, The Theatre Bizarre, American Guinea Pig) to add that little extra “something” to the films gore-filled scenes!
Want to see for yourself? Well check out the uncensored, unflinching trailer below. Beware this is certainly Nsfw…...

Stars: Dave Parker, Haley Jay Madison, Alison Egan, Erin R. Ryan, Joni Durian, Josh Miller, Brandon Salkil | Written and Directed by Dustin Mills
If there’s one thing you can say about director Dustin Mills, it’s that he never ceases to surprise… From the puppet-based terrors of Easter Casket, Puppet Monster Massacre and Snuffet, to the living-dead horrors of Bath Salt Zombies and Zombie A-Hole; to his foray into Grindhouse-esque exploitation via his Crumpleshack Films shingle – of which Applecart is the latest release – the man crosses genres, bends stereotypes and mixes tropes unlike any other filmmaker I can think of working today.
His work, despite the independent ethos behind it, is – at its core – the very antithesis of the auteur theory. Which means you never truly know what to expect from his movies; and I certainly never expected this!
Applecart is a strange beast. A portmanteau film connected by ideas of love,...

Know who's really killing indie filmmakers? Other wannabe indie filmmakers. Since making a movie has become so easy and Diy, the market has been flooded with trash by people who have no business even owning a camera. This makes finding the promising indie films an absolute chore.
Still, we wade through the film mire, and when something captures our eyes, we bring it to your attention. Take Adam Ahlbrandt's Hunters for example. Test screenings of the film have resulted in a 50 percent walkout ratio, and apparently one man had a panic attack following his viewing.
It is set to be released by ToeTag Films in the Us and Illusions Unlimited in Germany later this year.
The flick stars Linnea Quigley, J.D. Brown, Kacie Marie, Tina Krause, Haley Madison, Jason Vail, Mel Heflin, Shaun Paul Costello, Tiffany Carroll, Victor Bonacore, Jadie Goodpasture, and Genoveva Rossi. Ahlbrandt directs from a script he wrote.
